The food has changed for the worse in the last few months. I used to LOVE the fries and the burgers. Even my 87 year old MIL used to say these were the BEST burgers and fries and now says “they’re ok”.
Fries: The fries used to be 5-star. I’d eat half and then enjoy the other half reheated. They were crispy, battered fries and perfectly seasoned. I would literally dream about those fries. Now they’re fresh-cut potatoes that they cut themselves. While I can appreciate the fresh ingredients, I really don’t like them. They’re soggy, taste like eating a low-quality baked potato, and inconsistently salted. One bite is plain and another over-salted. I think I ate about 5 fries and threw the rest away.
Burger: I always get the mushroom, sautéed onion, & Swiss burger. It’s a big burger and I would eat half and reheat, so I was okay with the price. The last few times the bun is soggy and the burger seems smaller and dry, like the quality of the patty has gone down.
It cost us $52 for 2 adult and 1 kids meal, dining in.
Management, if you’re reading this and watching business drop, this is why. Go back to the quality ingredients you used to buy. Otherwise, you’re going to be yet another business that closed. At the very least, offer 2 French fry options - hand cut or battered.

Something has changed. Maybe management or vendors. Because the fries are TERRIBLE. They look like a fresh from frozen soggy unseasoned disaster. You can do better buying from the frozen section at Safeway and air-frying your own. That’s how bad it is.
This is coming from a local going eating here for a while. The fries used to be well battered and expertly fried.

It’s been a while since I last had EJ Burger. Their burgers used to be pretty good, but my recent experience was disappointing. The patty was dry, bland, and chewy. The burger came smothered in their house sauce, which now seems to be Thousand Island—a flavor I don’t enjoy so I had to scraped it off. Overall, not what I expected based on past visits.

The service is amazing, food is out-of-this-world. If you like burgers with French fries, this is the best place to go to. My sister and I have been going here for years, and the food is always good. My favorite burger is Mushroom cheese burger. The owners are also really sweet, and a pleasure to talk to. Absolutely recommend.

We got take out and when we found EJ's online we checked out the online menu. When we got to the restaurant, the prices on line were not the same in the restaurant. That was my only complaint and stores need to make sure that their websites stays current and that their customers aren't blindsided by the difference in price. Food was great and they were pretty fast getting our order out to us.
