The service was stellar. Everyone was very attentive. I got the country fried steakIt was delishious,slightly overclocked as the breading was more dark brown than golden..I took a cinnamon roll home and it was awesome.Prices were a bit high for the locationNoise level was a bit uncomfortable for me. I felt as though communication with the server was difficult.I would go back on a weekday or early on a weekend. Looks like 10 to 1 is there busiest.

Remember that time you stopped in at that amzing little diner in rural Kansas? The one with the old neon signs, bacon strips thick as your thigh, and fresh eggs bigger than you head? This is just a bit better. Your grandmother would be asking for these recipes.Warning: while admittedly it's only circumstantial evidence, we're fairly certain they're trying to kill off their constituents based on the portion sizes.The staff are unusually kind and pleasant to deal with. This left us wondering if these folks are being held captive, unable to know about the troubles of the world?Unfortunately this "secret" little gem is no longer ...secret. Wait times on the weekends can be long. Coming early or late pays dividends.Have a nice food coma nap....

Absolutely the best in Seattle surrounding area. I crave their breakfast and well the whole menu! A must reasturant to visit.
This was my first time eating here. I heard great things from my co worker, she raved about Maltby. I took my southern grandmother to try it with me. The place was packed, I over heard people talking about how great the food is, 30 years been coming here, worth the wait. So I’m excited thinking I’m about to eat some amazing food. The waitress was nice, but she never checked on us, even when she was standing right next to our table she didn’t ask if we needed anything, she was checking on other tables pretty periodically though. I assume because they had a bigger party, bigger party, means bigger tip, she wasn’t worried about us small fries. Which is unfortunate, I like tipping good workers.The chicken fried steak was disgusting, chewy and tough, the sage in the gravy overpowered everything, it was just nasty.I got the Swedish pancakes and those were great! I loved the cream. I’m sure other menu items were good, the place has won awards for a reason.The owner I believe was walking around and helping her team, that was pretty cool.Overall I didn’t enjoy my experience. Walked away feeling disappointed. :(
