I live overseas and have eaten oysters all over the world. I would rate the Chester as one of my favorite dive bars of all time. Wonderful oysters served by hardworking people in an unassuming manner. Go here for oysters. Period.
Food was hot and fresh out of the deep fryer.
My wife thought the fried oysters were very good. I had the halibut fish and chips, also very good.
Be aware, it is cash only, which they have posted at the entrance, but I missed it, and was a bit surprised when I went to pay the bill.
Good value for the money and I would recommend.
