Returning customer on my 82 BD. Disappointed. Ordered grilled Oyster Basket and it was apparent the cook used too much grill oil. Absolutely not a heart healthy meal. Fries and oysters were glistening.

Highly Recommend! Cheesy Chowder Fries were scrumptious! The prime rib dip was perfect. And the mushroom Swiss burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back next weekend for breakfast and I’ll get pies to go as well! It’s worth the drive!

My family and I ate here last October. I'm a fish biologist, so I know good seafood. The food here was outstanding! Fresh and favorable. Great beer selection too. The dessert was incredible! All that and the staff and locals were so nice. We will be back!

Had lunch with a friend, first time visit. I had fish sandwich and my friend had a prime rib french dip. Both were very tasty. Service was "spot on" and the place was clean. I'd recommend to anyone. This may be the best restaurant in Raymond, South Bend area. Oh, the prices were as good or better than other restaurants around, also. I'll be going back there.

Dietary restrictions: They modified the fish tacos to be gluten free and they were amazing! I had checked an older menu online that mentioned GF bread, however was told they no longer stock it as it was rarely used and kept being wasted. I’m kind of glad because the tacos were soooo good! Staff were welcoming and helpful. I see why Skylar’s is so highly rated.

Everything I've tried from Skylar's has been excellent! I'm completely willing to pay a bit more for incredible food. The burgers are fabulous. I love the thick handmade patties and their bacon is top notch.

As a long time Bay Center visitor/resident, (60+ years which actually makes me a "new guy"), I can state as FACT that Skylar's is going to be the best incarnation of this old time restaurant. The building itself is a town landmark and its recent restoration has finally reveled its true potential. The new owners obviously love their work, the place has a friendly and professional vibe. The menu is simple (one page on one side) which allows Skylar's to focus on what they do well. I look forward to an expanded menu when breakfast hours are added. The owners are in no hurry, concentrating on hiring the right folk and training them well. I might add also, that as many times as I have been there, the locals keep it pretty darn busy...now that is a real good sign! Watch out for specials and special events, they can sell or fill up FAST!
