Just discovered, will stop every time now on the commute to the coast. Great lemon bars ans much more. Cute shop on the waterfront, friendly service. Unexpected gem in this rural town.
I highly recommend this locally owned bakery! Their level of quality and craftsmanship is unrivaled in this area. They are the masters of sourdough and their sweet treats are delicious as well! The chocolate croissant is my all-time fave! Their new pumpkin bars were a close second, which were a fun seasonal option. Whether you are a local or just passing through South Bend on your way to the beach, Willapa Baking is a must!
This business provides baked goods to many local food and coffee locations. They open the bakery to retail sales each Friday from noon to, I think, 4:30pm. There is ALWAYS a line but it moves very very quickly. It is SO worth any line you may encounter. I can only attest to one of the best sourdough loaves I have ever had, and I have had many sourdough breads from all over the USA. Who would be so lucky as to have such a phenomenal bakery in their own town! (ME!). I have a place...
