I understand the negative reviews. Political opinions should stay private. But a business is personal so ignore what offends you. I had a nice time. This is one of those places mindset and company matter more than the wow factor due to the atmosphere. I travel to many states and eat in many places, this was cozy, food was homie, coffee was great, server was kind, and the decorations of old cars are appreciated. A great spot for a quick bite on road trips.
The homemade corn beef hash is awesome. We've been a few times and it always hits the spot. It's the go-to breakfast place. It has the refreshing aesthetic of a family owned local restaurant rather than soulless gray corporation. Put it on the itinerary.
This is instantly my favorite breakfast place. Had chicken fried steak, hashbrowns, over medium eggs and biscuit. The gravy was so rich! The eggs were perfect (and I am very picky about my eggs). Potatoes are seasoned and delicious, coffee is perfect! Not too weak and not overly bitter. The staff was friendly and very attentive. I will absolutely come back!! Only complaint, the tables in the booths are a wee small.
