It's a wonderful neighborhood institution. Prices are amazing, portions lavish and atmosphere worth the stop.

AK is a great representative of the Chinese-American comfort food that our area is known for. Many folks are too judgemental, insisting that anything that isn't as good as the International District in Seattle is terrible food. And, of course, those elitist fools are 100% wrong. Far, far more folks enjoy a delicious meal like this---a meal we certainly can't duplicate at home. Everything we had was excellent. Wonderful service, as well, and one of the more affordable options in this category. Lots of extra to bring home to keep the party going, too. Great job, AK...

Used to be really good. Went downhill quick. Last time we go. Food was beyond burnt, waitresses argued about it, hardly any table attention. Can't say we are sorry. For over $50, this is getting out of hand. Bye bye AK Asian.

Old school Americanized Chinese food. I LOVE places like this!

I'm so happy to find my new favorite Chinese place.

The only downside: lunch combos don't have sweet and sour soup, only egg drop. Waitress explained that's because they make it fresh for each order, so you can only get it in a big bowl. She said ALL the food is made to order, so that's good.

Oh, by the way: they charge for hot tea. You should know.

Absolute chaos. Completely unable to manage their orders waiting over an hour for simple orders. Long wait times, and unapologetic staff.

I wish I could give 5 stars on food and service but I ordered takeout and some condiments were missing: no hot mustard or sesame seeds for bbq pork, no cocktail sauce for shrimp. The crunchy noodles were in with my celery chow mein so were soggy by the time I got home, usually they'rebagged separatewithout asking. Got less almond chicken sauce today than I got last time. I love this place and will just open and check my order before I leave. Otherwise, staff are friendly and food is worth the price if you pick up instead of all the added charges for instacart, doordash, etc. Still a huge fan of this place. Thank you staff at AK!

Depends on who is working ..not that anyone is better than the other just that each of them has their specialties ..the food can be excellent...and other times it just isn't worth the cost...jdls

The Best egg foo young, scrumptious gravy and wonderful filling!! Delicious, generous portions with attentive service! Waitress did say wait times can be long, but ours wasn't. Cooked to order and fresh! Special chow mein had bright, flavorful, large broccoli and carrots. Definitely will return!!

I've been looking for a new place to eat Almond Chicken since my usual go to place changed during the covid era. I tried this place a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised.
The Almond Chicken was hot and very delicious, was it out of this world , absolutely not, but its was good enough to get a repeat visit from me.
So far so good,I can't speak for any other items on the menu, but my go to was good.
I will say, this place is definately worth a try for sure.

I'll take a strong start here. I got food poisoning from the honey walnut shrimp. I really hope it's just new management, because I've come here multiple times in the past and it was easily my favorite spot for a nice meal. However, this time everything was just off. There's a new lady working there, no biggie, she was nice and this review has nothing against her. Although the lady (I won't name names but you know who you are) who was mentoring her was extremely condescending and kind of rude for no reason, at least none that I was made aware of. They also charged us for an extra two sides of fried rice when it says at the top of the menu that you can choose white or fried rice to go with your meal, apparently not. Anyways. Just make your own opinions I guess. Though, lady, I think if you want people to actually enjoy eating there you might want to not treat us like we're stupid toddlers.
