Love this place and the food. It is lacking in customer service, the waitress has dry humor I guess. The hours listed on google are not correct. It says they are open till 3:09 but I drive all the way there and it’s closed. They should update the google listing.

Love the spuds here but not everyone likes not having hashbrowns… The food is always good. I have eaten here a number of times and never disappointed…

Great old fashioned breakfast dinner. Some of the best service I've had in a long time! Coffee kept piping hot and the food was very tasty.

Went there for lunch today around 12:40ish. Pretty dead. One table had their usuals sitting (could tell). Donna was sitting along with the cook and the waitress. Was seated right away and menu handed. I ordered the Reuben. The cook was nice and made small talk from behind the counter. I heard him put fries in the oil (good sign?). When the food came, the plate was massive and full of fries and my sandwich. The food itself is a 1 star. I took the meat out of the Reuben because it was so tough it was hard to chew or break off in the bite. The fries were full of grease and tasteless. Even with salt, pepper, and ketchup it didn't taste right. They weren't even crunchy. Just bad fries. The bill was a little over $14 with tax. I don't think it was worth it. Definitely not a place I'd return for lunch. I must admit I was skeptical given some bad reviews I had read so maybe I was uneasy going in but since the food was what it was, this review is legit to the point and not a result of my previous review bias. Avoid the place.

Black Customer’s Review:Make the race mention what you will in the context of the review. We came into the essentially restaurant and were told to “find a seat anywhere.” She came to take our drink orders and I told her that “We’re ready to place our food order whenever you’re ready. She pours our waters and leaves. Over the next 15 minutes, I watched four subsequent parties walk in after us and all have their food and drink orders sent to the kitchen. After the fourth order was placed, we began to leave. It was then we were seen and she says “I’m sorry I was about to come to your table.” “I’m deaf and couldn’t hear you.” The problem with that story is that she responded substantively to my comment about placing the food order when Initially mentioned it. We were the only table left and almost everyone else had come after us, except another fellow who had already had his order taken. We went to Shari’s Cafe and Pies on N. Sullivan Road where the service was 100% better

What a great lil' throwback diner. Friendly waitress, made to order breakfast. And I got just what I ordered. Hot, savory food. Loved the hand formed sausage patty. Even the other customers were friendly.
