Fantastic Experience! Great place, very friendly and knowledgeable help. The young lady (didn't catch her name) was very positive and patient. She asked pertinent questions, and even had the amber malt I was hoping to find! She did a great job of filling my grain bill and hop list for two beers, while also taking care of the other patrons. Very glad we have Genus!

Great place if your looking to start homebrewing! I make meads, wines, ciders, and ales and they've got everything I need to get it done! Looking to start distilling as well and they've got stuff for that too! Always friendly staff!

The beer was cold and delicious! Jess was awesome as well! The pizza from River City Pizza was hot and tasty!

Genus is not afraid to experiment and I love them for it. Their Christmas Tree Ale turned out so flavorful and unlike any beer I've ever tried. Also, Jess is the best!

Genus Brewing is not afraid to experiment and I love them for it. They use local ingredients from bakeries, bagel shops, and even our forests. The Christmas Tree Ale turned out so flavorful and unlike any beer I've ever tried. How about a lobster gruit? Don't knock it till you try it.They have a spacious, dog-friendly outdoor patio to enjoy the warm weather. An in-house food menu is available and there's also a pizza shop next door.P.S. Jess is the best!

Just a cool little hole with hands down the best cream soda.... Like sugar cookies in a cup. Wow!

Stopped by while in town, this place has been on our bucket list for awhile and it did not disappoint. We tried the sugar cookie cream soda and the blackberry lemon seltzer. Both were tasty but the cream soda is some of the best I’ve ever had. The prices are very reasonable and the bartender was very nice, helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more delicious drinks!

I went in last week for some help as a first time homebrewer and came out with everything I needed and a bunch of great advice! Genus Brewing is my new go-to place.

One of my favorite places in Spokane for unique & delicious beers

Genus Brewing has a nice selection of brewing supplies and is, according to the Genus bartender, the last brewing supply shop in the Spokane area. I will admit that, in my brewing days, I generally purchased from an online dealer. Good prices shipped right to your door. However, my first brewing experiences were at classes staged in brew supply shops! If it wasn't for the shops, I would not have even attempted to brew my own beer. I'm not sure if they have classes at Genus but they did have some cool employees, experimental beer on tap, and a relaxing outdoor patio. My wife and I tried to stick to the low ABV beers but didn't find ones that we liked that much. We should've got the higher alcohol IPAs on tap, the generally more dependable beer type for us. There was even one beer on tap made using original brewing methods, meaning, that it was highly spiced instead of hopped. I had never seen that before.
