Love this place just wish they were not closed on Sundays!! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had to go somewhere else because they are closed. Sunday is just donut day and unfortunately this place is closed. Maybe be closed on a week day? Like a mon/tue?

This place has amazing donuts, but unfortunately they never actually have any available unless you get there when they first open for the day. The last 4 times I have gone in, I have unfortunately had to walk out without anything due to them not having any available. Really wish they would prep enough donuts for the day so I don‘t keep wasting my time coming in. The folks that have helped me at the front have also unfortunately been quite rude. I’ve tried to give this place a chance several times but I think I’ll start to take my business elsewhere now.

If you want a superb old fashioned donut, fresh ground coffee, 5 star service with genuine happiness and appreciation, and a cozy and clean dining environment, this is the place to go!
Upon walking in, you see an open kitchen with several happy people (so rare to see these days), and a variety of happy looking donuts.
The donuts are made fresh with old fashioned recipe and quality ingredients. It does not taste greasy at all, just perfect! Coffee tastes surprisingly flavorful and earthy. Windy, the 5 star service lady told me that they grind fresh beans every morning.
You don’t expect table side coffee refill service for a donut shop, we got just like that from Windy and then some!
They don’t hand you the receipt or turn the cash register screen to you pressuring you for tips. I felt so guilty that I did not carry cash with me today, thankfully my friend made it up with cash afterwards.
Hands down the BEST donut shop in the region! Please try it out and you won’t be disappointed!

Out of all the local donut shops in the area, this one you go to when you want the classics. You can tell they have their regulars and those regulars are die hards for this shop.
Staff are all very friendly and are happy to whip up some concoctions with what they have. For example, if they're out of Boston cream donuts, if they have any chocolate bars they'll fill those with the custard. Which means they can make long johns if requested.
Haven't gotten one yet but a chocolate bar with raspberry jelly is on my list of things to try.

I tried Mike’s Old Fashioned Donuts for the first time on the morning of Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, when my wife brought some home for our children, my in-laws, and myself. I tried a sample of a cinnamon donut and a sample of a maple bar. Both were decent but the apple fritter I had was phenomenal. I am talking the best Apple fritter I ever had in my life. They are large but airy and taste like they came right from the county fair with that delectable deep fry taste. I highly recommend the apple fritter but it is important to know that donuts are pretty pricey at Mike’s. I bought two dozen for a work celebration last month and the total was $40. Can’t beat those fritters though! 🍩
Stopped in around 7 a.m. on a Friday to grab two dozen mixed donuts for work — and they had me in and out in about five minutes! Super quick and friendly service. You can watch them making the donuts fresh right in the back, which is pretty awesome. You can also tell it’s a local favorite — the staff were greeting regulars by name, and the whole place had a great vibe. The donuts were fresh, soft, and delicious. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

This donut shop is a gem. The reviews on Mike's donuts were mixed, but decided to stop in. We were picking up a dozen donuts to bring somewhere and we were immediately amazed at the joyous and welcoming atmosphere. I realize there are always going to be those people that are never satisfied, but trust me! This is a friendly happy place. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy your coffee and donuts, and the donuts were fresh and appetizing. I ended up getting an apple fritter to go and I have to say it was the best apple fritter I have ever had! I will be a regular and hope that I will also be greeted by name as so many customers were while we were there!

I was traveling through Spokane and stopped by Mike’s Old Fashioned for some coffee and donuts! 100! Absolutely 100% chance I will visit this shop every time I’m in the area. I got the Boston Cream and Apple Fritter. Yup. Highly recommend. This picture is worth a 1000 words lol
