Based on the reviews, Rancho Viejo is one of the best Mexican joints in town. It is a great place to sit down and have some classic Mexican food and a beer or margaritas. The rice and beans are a must have, and the chips and salsa are great. The menu is STACKED. Specific meals mentioned include the chimichanga with shredded beef and the pazole Jalisco, which was absolutely perfect. The Horchata was a 10/10. The atmosphere is like a big fiesta in a cantina, with a super cozy family feel. The employees are all so friendly, like being with extended family. They are very accommodating for large groups, making sure everyone has seats. The food comes out timely. Rancho Viejo has been a family favorite for a long time and is a great place for a family celebration. The only real issue is the prices have really gone up lately, and it seems like they are cooking more for white people who are afraid of flavor. Still, this is a great place for a family celebration or if you just want some good Mexican food by yourself.
