Used to be my favorite. New owners and chefs (2025). Smaller portions, more like "food court" quality than upscale sushi bar. Half the staff was in sweat pants. When it's $50/person you probably want to have a dress code for staff. My chair was broken. Waitress was working so hard being positive.

Theyâve changed owners. Any people coming here before 3 weeks ago who loved the food donât come. The Calamari has changed as well as the sauce they give and it isnât good. Think Burger King onion ring crust with calamari. Their supervolcano is no longer baked. Just donât expect to have anything the way it used to be. Donât bother. Our server was great but I will not be coming back.

Thursday night, it was rough. I have been to many restaurants with better staff, better food and a more comfortable atmosphere. After finding out that food handling was not their number one priority. I will not be going there ever again. At least other restaurants know that washing hands after each process or changing gloves before preping the next item.

While the food is decent, the service is appalling. We were a big party the other night and there was a table all set. The waiter brought us over there and some lady from the back came out literally screaming/yelling at us and asking if we had a reservation. We said no and she said we couldnât sit there. Mind you - the restaurant was full of customers while we were getting yelled at. And as we started to leave, she ran over and told us we could have that table if we wanted. We said no thank you and went somewhere else. We have eaten there many times, and while the service is always spotty, the food is okay enough. However, we probably wonât be returning as that was so humiliating - we were just trying to take our dad out for his 81st birthday.

After waiting for over 30 minutes to be seated the owner or manager (old Asian woman) stopped the nine of us and in front of all the customers YELLED AT US TO LEAVE because we didn't have a reservation. This family will never go there again. Never been so insulted.

Awesome Gem to find while visiting the Spokane area. Service was friendly and on point. We took our daughter and nieces after a long day at the water park for a memorable family dinner. Fresh product and classy vibes with fantastic pricing. After living on Maui for six years finding quality sushi is a struggle. Be sure to check this place out!

We have not been able to find Sushi ? anywhere in Spokane as good as Toro's. The flavor, freshness and presentation is worth the wait. Come with extra time to be seated cause it's usually a full house of other happy eaters. I love the Tonkatsu, Veggie Tempura and Vegetarian roll.

I was here last week for dinner, ordered a spicy tuna roll and ended up with food poisoning. I was up for hours in the middle of the night with intense stomach cramping, diarrhea and vomiting. I'm pretty sure their ice machine is moldy as well. Every time I am served ice water, it tastes like mold and mildew to the point where my entire family brings their own beverages when we come here. We won't be back. The food is too expensive just to throw up when you get home.
