Didn't enjoy the food when we went here but service was good and they took back what wasn't prepared well. The service and atmosphere is what makes this place great. Food isn't all that. Unfortunately they are closing because it was a great place for a drink and hanging out. Very clean establishment too.

I had the most delicious duck during restaurant week. Sure wish it was on their regular menu. I’ll be dreaming about having it again!

Looking for some flavor? Good Jumbalaya? We were. It's not in here. Cool hipster place. The Zatarain's Jumbalaua rice was lacking flavor and we only licked our plates clean because we were genuinely still starving. Portions could definitely be beefed up pun intended. We tried the shrimp and grits too. Just plump shrimp with a sprinkle of seasoning and the grits were just some good old instant mashed potatoes poorly mixed. It should be a crime to serve cornbread cold. It's not bad. It's just not anything worth going for. Super bummed. ? the resturant:

New ownership? New chef? I don't know. I've heard this place because of the decent portions with reasonable prices but after paying ten dollars for four Brussel sprouts we were not impressed. It was my first time but not my girlfriends and she had a clear look of disappointment as something had changed. Yea, the food is good but it's pretty overpriced for what you get and seems to be somewhat lazily prepared. For $83 we got one sandwich, one mushroom grits plate, Brussel sprouts and two alcoholic drinks (beer/wine). The waiter was wonderful but the food just did jot justify the price. Overall, I probably won't choose to go back here.

A touch of salt. Hard thing is, it really looks good. From the chicken sandwich to the cornbread not exactly amazing. Hard to say flavorless, but not a symphony of components building to a crescendo. Service is with a smile, and a rather tough style of surroundings I wouldn't call comfortable.

I know it's legal but maybe don't smoke before you head to dinner. If people would reasonably look at a menu and think, "huh... a chicken sandwich for $15. I can buy a whole chicken for 5 bucks. They are offering me a thigh on a roll with some sauce and a side of fries. In what world does that make any sense!" And before you get there... yes, I can afford it. But why would I want to? We all have better things to do with our money. One of them very well might be learning to make these kinds of things at home. Perhaps if we all did that more often, places like this would try to draw us in by creating a menu with some decent prices. Look, I know it's difficult running a restaurant...at any time. But gouging customers for food only creates single visit customers. If you want to thrive, try being reasonable. And if you are at a restaurant, start using some reasoning skills. The only way to create a change in this trend of overpriced food is to start turning around and walking out of these rip offs. As I did.

Amazing place. Lived a few blocks away for years. One of my favorite places to go. We are from the South so just great food. Bring back brunch!! Either way, always my top pick for southern food!!

Wow, just wow. My wife and I had dinner here the other night and this place has gone down hill the past couple of years. We had a bad server experience about two years ago and said we wouldn't be back.My wife and myself went there a couple of nights ago and now both the food and service was beyond bad.So disappointed. This place used to be great but it is not the case anymore. So long ng, Casper Fry's

I love the atmosphere for a casual dinner. Lights are dim, but I still feel comfortable. The fried chicken is the best.

Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The prices were very reasonable. However the food was extremely disappointing. Fried Chicken was way overcooked and so dry we couldn't eat it, the french fries were so salty they were difficult to eat. The gumbo was so salty we just could not eat more than two bites. The mac and cheese was tasty as well as the cornbread. The ham biscuit appetizer was the best part of the meal. Very short staffed and a long wait for the food.

Terrific food with very cool historic ambiance in one of downtown Spokane’s most lively neighborhoods. We sampled a lot of the menu and everything was excellent particularly the jambalaya and gumbo. Super friendly and attentive staff.

Casper Fry is always one of the first places I recommend to anyone who asks. Delicious food. Great staff and a unique atmosphere make it a great local spot in the perry district. Best fried chicken in town!

Best fried chicken I have ever had!! They brine and smoke the chicken before they fry it! It was super crispy and flavorful!

We went around 4pm for Inlander Restaurant Week and they found us a table we could easily fit our stroller. Staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Every bite was amazing. The atmosphere is also not to be missed.
