Awesome location for a special cocktail and spending time with friends! Service was very friendly and although at first I felt the drinks were expensive they are well designed and worth every penny.

I’m not as loquacious as the majority of these reviews but there’s a reason I go back time and time again. Great drinks, great service, and genuinely just feel so comfortable there.

We walked into the bar, and there he was—Ben, also known as Nopey, the bartender with hair so wavy, it looked like it came straight from a shampoo commercial. Each strand seemed to have its own personality, catching the light just right as he moved. Seriously, Ben’s hair was mesmerizing.

So we asked him for an Old Fashioned, and he gave us this thoughtful nod, his hair bouncing in slow motion, and said, “How about an Old Fashioned Hot Toddy?”

“Why do they call you Nopey?” we asked, watching those luxurious locks glisten as he shook his head.

“They say I say ‘nope’ to boring orders” he smirked as he whipped up our drink. But honestly? That hair could say "nope" to us all night long, and we'd still come back just to watch it in action.

By the time we took our first sip, we were convinced: this was no ordinary bartender or bar.

I highly recommend this place.

My favorite book club, the place that showed me that not all cocktails are created equal. The place that got me hooked on old fashions. But don’t settle for any old fashioned, Try the vanilla saffron old fashioned and you’ll be amazed. I travel all over the west coast and have tried many cocktail bars. ever since I tried this place a year ago I’ve been chasing the dragon and nothing else compares. Ben keeps it real and happily guides you through his menu and will even make suggestions based on your preference. Everything he suggests is amazing, the prices are great, and the selection is fantastic. Whenever I’m in Spokane I make it a point to stop at my favorite book club.

Went in for a drink. Owner was clearly drunk and told us about ten times he was the owner. He almost spilled our drinks on two of us when he decided to “help” the server. He then he proceeded to have a very pubic discussion with the server about how she wasn’t working. (As far as we could tell she she was only gone for about 5 minutes in the hour we were there, still should not have been don’t behind the bar for all patrons to see). He then proceeded to fire her in front of everyone. We got out and walked out with her.

The perfect spot for not your average drink. I love how creative the bartenders are and how they'll create an exciting drink with only a few prompts, "Vodka, not too sweet, no floral flavors", and they'll come back with something you wouldnt have thought of! If you're okay with your bartender taking the wheel, you'll enjoy your time here.

Was in town for a conference. Went for a drink based on some advice from a fellow whiskey lover. Having never been to this bar I didn’t have any expectations. I was pleasantly surprised! This place was awesome in every way. The bartender, Ben, was outstanding and hilarious. I will be back for sure. Cool vibes, good whiskey, and great conversations abound in this little Spokane gem.
