We went on a busy night before a show. The place was obviously short staffed and we waited a while before being greeted at our table. Despite the chaos, our server/hostess, a blonde gal with great personality, served us as if nothing was happening. She had to be very overwhelmed but she treated us with patience, kindness and went out of her way to give us top notch service. She even took a group photo for us. To be honest I did not have the food so I can't comment on that, so what I can say is I found pliny the elder on tap here.... If you guys don't understand what that means let's just say it's the holy Grail of beers and I found it at this place on happy hour for five dollars the ladies were super sweet they don't bug you they just asked you if you need another beer actually you know what originally was four stars I'm putting it to 5 they are great! Absolutely loved coming here. I’m from out of town and was looking for a quick bite and a drink. The griffin was walking distance from my hotel so we gave it go. Probably one of the best experiences I’ve had in a while. Belle and Kylie were absolutely amazing servers/bartenders. Not only did Belle strike up a conversation with me and held it, but was also was very attentive to her other tables. Based on customer reviews, Griffin Tavern Kitchen + Taphouse offers good food with generous servings and a great atmosphere that is cozy and inviting. The menu has a nice selection of appetizers and entrees, and everything on the menu is good. The beer wall is awesome, with a fantastic beer selection and a wrist band self pour option so you can pour by the ounce. There is also a craft cocktail menu with nice twists on classic cocktails and house specialties. The staff is really nice, friendly, attentive, and professional. The back room is beautiful and fits large parties well, making it perfect for events like birthday parties. It is a great place to grab a beer and watch a game, have a date night, or host an event. However, some find it a little expensive, with one reviewer noting the food was overpriced and took 45 minutes to come out. The arcade is a nice touch, though there was only a change machine.
