Fantastic coffee shop. It’s rare that a shop can do drip coffee and espresso drinks this flawlessly. And on top of that perfection, the staff was very kind, and it’s nestled into a lovely spot downtown.

The coffee is good, very good, but the draw here really is that it is in the The Saranac Commons. That means you can enjoy your coffee in a nice wide open space while eating a pastry or a slice of pizza.. Service was friendly, though the attention to the drink means waiting a bit.

Oh Hatch is absolutely delightful! I adore their matcha; it just works wonders for me! Alex provided exceptional service, taking my order and crafting my drink with care. They even offered raw honey as a sweetener--double yes! With oat milk, my drink was simply divine! Perfect temperature, lovely mug, and the ambiance at Serenac Commons is serene, offering ample seating for catching up with friends. Highly recommended! Vegan options

Hatch beaker + burr is hands down one of the best coffee shops in Spokane. Nestled in the Saranac Commons building downtown, this coffee shop boasts a pleasant urban atmosphere as well as close proximity to other local businesses for food or shopping. Riverfront Park is also within walking distance, so taking their amazing coffee to the park is also an option.The coffee is excellent, and the folks who work here even more so.Parking: There are plenty of spaces in front of the Saranac Commons, but the secret technique is to park in the street parking on North Division, where the spots are for four hours instead of two. That way you can relax with your coffee and even take a walk around downtown.

Amazing coffee - smooth and flavorful. They also had delicious pastries from Grain Shed bakery. Staff were kind and friendly. I highly recommend this lovely coffee shop!

One person, and she was awesome, can’t run this place alone. I give 5 stars for the service I received and the best mocha ever, given the circumstances, but I give 0 (zero) to the manager or the property. Half of the people in line left, I waited 20 minutes on the clock to place my order, my food got cold. If it wasn’t for the nice and very efficient lady that took my order after dealing with 8 previous orders, and then diligently made mine, despite the pressure of 9 people in line after me which 4 left, I woud give 1 star. So the 5 stars goes to her, but not the coffee shop owners/manager that can’t possibly leave one person only to run the place. Unacceptable. You deserve 1 shame star and 4 spanks. You have to apologize to the lady that’s running your business for not being there to help her personally if it was an unforeseen event. I was here before and I don’t know if I’ll come again if this keeps happening. Why do I have to walk 8 blocks and cross the river if eating my food cold is the reward, huh?! Well I have that reheated… but… still

My Wife and Son and I were in town for the horror convention for the weekend. Our hotel was a couple blocks away and we walked here to have a couple latte's and a hot chocolate Saturday morning, and it was the best coffee I've ever had! We came back Sunday morning and it was a different person working, and again, the best coffee I've ever had! To be that consistent between two different people, and that Amazing is refreshing to say the least. We will come here every time we visit Spokane from now on! Thank you so much!

My brother, a local, says this is the best coffee in the area. It is definitely very good. They have the best scone I have ever had. This is a great place to focus and work for a while. It is right in the middle of Spokane. Now I know why my brother and the others in his office frequent this place!
