Latah Bistro, located just five minutes from downtown Spokane, is a hidden gem that offers a great dining experience. The staff is friendly, and the wine list is exceptional, but the cocktails are not to be missed. The Heat Wave and Pomegranate Margarita are must-tries.
The appetizers are delicious and include a Butter Board with smoked honey butter, rosemary, and sourdough bread, as well as addictive carrots cooked in smoked honey butter and blackened dill, served with pork rinds. The beet salad with brown butter vinaigrette, frisee, and crispy onions is also a good choice.
The main dishes are equally impressive. The steaks are comparable to Churchills, and the halibut is a generous portion served with delicious chard vegetables. The blueberry cobbler is the perfect way to end the meal.
While there are no kid's menus, the server can suggest options like pizza or butter noodles. The atmosphere is stylish and inviting, and the bar next door is a fabulous addition. Parking is ample and secure, making it a great option outside of the city.
