This gorgeous cafe does a very good job of making you feel like you’re in Paris, but actually in Spokane Washington. We stopped by a few times on a week long trip and were so happy each time. The almond croissant was so good, the best I’ve had stateside. The only better ones I’ve had were in France. Highly recommend this place.

Great food, and good customer service but INCREDIBLY slow. Ordered something premade behind the counter and it took 20 minutes for them to bring it out.

Great food and even greater service! So glad I stumbled upon Madeleine’s this morning during my weekend in Spokane. The bacon and gouda omelet was delicious. I only wish I had room to try one of their homemade pastries! I now get why there was a line out the door!

Even though you sometimes have to wait in line, this cafe is worth it. Today we had the avocado toast sprinkled with feta and coffees. Great atmosphere for a quick meal.

Excellent breakfast spot, close to the downtown hotels. Come early as it gets very busy on weekends. They can do everything to go!

Good service. Coffee is fine. Food was surprisingly meh. Drip coffee had free refills, and so that is a big plus. Cinnamon roll was fine... Quite sweet, not very fluffy. Fine. The cinnamon short bread cookies were a bit disappointing, kind of chewy. Most disappointing was the corned beef hash. Meat was chewy. And in general just meh.

INCREDIBLE pastries! I have found very few chocolate croissants that I enjoyed as much as this one. Wonderful selection of pastries, and they also have a nice menu for brunch/lunch.

Madeline's Café and Patisserie, nestled downtown near Riverfront Park, exudes charm from the moment you step inside. Despite its petite size, it bustles with activity, a testament to its popularity. The staff, embodying warmth and hospitality, welcome you with open arms. The display case flaunts an array of tempting pastries alongside enticing side dishes, including a tantalizing macaroni and cheese. Opting for the corned beef hash crowned with a perfectly cooked over-easy egg atop housemade rye bread and the heavenly avocado toast adorned with fresh arugula, radishes, and pumpkin seeds proved to be a delightful choice. The pastries, an epitome of excellence, left us in awe. The blood orange Neapolitan, in particular, stood out. The Marjoline boasted a luscious hazelnut chocolate layer reminiscent of ganache, coupled with a divine filling, while the Neapolitan with its light, buttery flakiness and delicately sweet mascarpone filling, proved to be a true delight. To accompany our culinary journey, we indulged in an Americano infused with their housemade vanilla syrup, elevating our experience to new heights. The ambiance, reminiscent of a quintessential French bakery, enveloped us in its cozy embrace, adding an extra layer of charm to an already exceptional dining experience at Madeline's. Definitely a place worth trying in downtown Spokane.

Went on a Sunday at about 930 and it wasn’t too busy yet, ordered food, and found a table and sat down. My friend ordered an omelet and I ordered French toast. My friend received his food within 10 mins. After 20 mins went by we walked back up to the counter and checked and they said it would be out shortly. Nothing came out. At 30 mins went back to the counter and they said it would be right out. We decided to just get it to go. The brought it out to me and just “Thanked me for my patience”. There was no apology and my food in the box wasn’t even hot.I will say after I went home and heated up the food it tasted good.

Super disappointed. We just waited 34 mins for a double espresso and an americano to go.

Delightful cafe with amazing breakfast and coffee. We've been a few times over the years and it definitely doesn't disappoint. We make it a point to visit when in Spokane.
