I am glad that i went to this place without reading the reviews. This place is the first asian buffet place where I found traditional Asian food varieties. Yes, I understand this place is very different from others. (a) They don't serve much options in the westernized asian food segment like breaded shrimp, fish balls etc. (b) Food was my main attraction and hence I didn't care much about the ambience or sparkly clean chairs etc.There were a variety of dishes like crab...

We went to pearl buffet sunday at 11am. I believe the food was last nights leftovers. The sweet and sour chicken was hard and dry. The crab which was the reason we went to the pearl was cold. No one ever came to refill our drinks. The entire carpet was stained and held down with duct tape. The tile on the walls at our booth was held on with clear tape. I wont go back, canaan has the same items and the place is clean, ill go there the food is fresh.

I'm not a buffet expert. This is the 1st buffet I've been to in many years. I took my son with me. We met some of fellow veteran friends there for lunch and conversation. We try to meet once a month, choosing different places each time.
Friendly staff, lots of choices of food. Clean tables and bathrooms. As for the quality of the food, I would say it is on par for other Chinese buffets, meaning middle of the road. Aka 3 of 5 stars. Again, to be fair, I don't...
