If you go here, you gotta get the cinn-a-bites. I got a calzone or a pizza puff as we call em in Chicago. When I went to pick it up, all the contents poured out through the center which seemed like it had a layer of dough that was way too thin to do anything with. Pizza was hella salty. But those cinn-a-bites were really good, especially with the cream cheese frosting.
My family has been eating at Pete’s since my parents were in college, all of my childhood (spent in the back room arcade), and now into a third generation of calzone lovers! I miss when they would let you draw on the ceiling tiles, but the calzones are still the best. A phone number I know by heart. Never been to the other location on sharp.
I did want to love it. It was good. But I feel like the ratio was off in some way. Like the dough was too Doughty and then the cheese to sauce ratio was off. It was still very good. I love calzones ever since parks and recreation ben Wyatt. If you know you know.
