Restaurant, bar, and quaint cocktail lounge with fine dining that is more affordable and less snooty than what you may see in places like Seattle at Ascend (they were nice but kind of looked down on us for our clothing and meal choices. Far from it at Scratch, where they were more than welcoming). We forgot to take more photos as we had a lovely time. Happened to have reservations when the restaurant and lounge were empty (they’re next door to each other but connected by a hall) so we chatted the bartender up the whole time and he was wonderfully helpful in suggesting appropriate drinks and food without upselling or overdoing it.We had a scallop appetizer on request (similar to the main dish without sides; scallops were about the diameter of a standard soda can , as thick as an inch or 1.5, and great sear with mid rare opaque center; came with a beautiful sauce that reminds me of Mae Ploy; not spicy; also purple cabbage I believe). We had the duck as our main (photo) with asparagus, carrots, pomegranate reduction and a crispy risotto cake. If you like risotto it’s wonderful, and if you don’t, the crispy coating will remind you of poor kid fish sticks in the best way possible ?The dessert and cocktail/alcohol menus were inclusive of dietary restrictions/allergies and the prices for those all seemed fair but we’re poor so we’ll come back for tomato basil soup and gluten free tiramisu another day.Thank you all for the lovely meal and helping us celebrate! Sorry for dissecting your food on the plate but I love the science of it. We’ll be back soon.

Amazing food and wonderful service. The new owner is knocking it out of the park!

One and done. Was excited to try this restaurant. Very disappointed. The food was just okay. Service was horrible. The staff including servers, busing and cooking staff was so busy falling over themselves with the table behind us, pretty much ignored the whole time. Water glass sat empty the whole meal. Was never asked if we wanted a refill on our beverages. Salad was served with out fresh pepper had to ask for it. Was never asked how the meal was or if needed anything else. Took 15 minutes to get our desserts with a wrong dessert. Try to get the server attention twice to let her know could not get her attention. Ate the wrong dessert only because we could not wait another 15 minutes. I would expect service to be better for the price. Will not be back.

My wife and I had dinner at Scratch as part of their Restaurant Week last night. We had a wonderful time. The food was super tasty, ambience was buzzing, and the service was great. For as busy as they were, our bartender/server, Gabe was attentive, timely, and very friendly. We will back.

Michael Wiley, Wiley's purchased Scratch last month and the food is great! Paper deli with shrimp, capers and sun dried tomato!! With had the steak with bourbon glaze. Calimari is unlike any in town and the cheesecake is also like none in town and a killer finish to a nice night out.

Had dinner here in July with my husband and forgot to review the place. In a word, it was fabulous! Service, food, atmosphere - the place is perfection. Sorry, can't recall exactly what I ordered, but I floated out feeling wonderful. Definitely recommend - make reservations early!

Wow! Our waitress was so sweet and such a crack up and the food was amazing. We started with the clams. A must have appetizer, so tasty, perfect amount of flavor and paired perfectly with sausage, tomatoes, onions and a wonderful broth. The Caesar was really yummy with homemade and deep fried croutons, which was a unique twist but added a nice touch. For dinner I had the smoked duck. Just get it. It’s amazing. They put a lot of time, energy and love into their dishes and it shows. Don’t be in a hurry if you go here. Enjoy the experience.

We needed up here bc it was the only place I could get a reservation this weekend. Let me tell you, my party was pleasantly surprised! We started with the clams. They were great and the sauce had a nice kick to it. All four of us had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly. The steaks were flavorful and served with asparagus and purple potatoes. We left full but not miserable. The star of the show was the huckleberry lemonade (add a shot of vodka and OMG)!

Mac and cheese from the happy hour menu was delicious. Drinks were great. I had the risotto which was amazing. Service was another 5 stars if I could give extra points

Had an amazing meal and experience at this establishment! Food was all complex yet simply delicious. Drinks were fun and thirst quenching. The really transcendent moment was the first delectable, sweet yet savory spoonful of the chevre Cheesecake...I was so enamored I forgot to grab a pic. You'll just have to take my word for it and see for yourself.

ScratchMy friend and I had the good fortune to spend an amazing evening at the Scratch/Rain Lounge! The food was absolutely Wonderfull, prepared to perfection and so full of flavor! And the company was hospitable, warm and genuine. We started by sharing a delish Ceasar salad and crunchy cheese crisps. My friend had the lamb and homemade linguini… which was superb! The lamb was extremely tender (yes, I had a couple of bites!), and had a very pleasant taste (void of a strong game flavor). I had the blackened prawns with coconut risotto and cajon oil and grilled broccolini!!! Amazing flavors! We also had three deserts between us (couldn’t decide!), the goat cheese cheesecake and huckleberries on an amazing Graham cracker crust (WOW!!), the warm pickled apple pie drizzled with caramel and home made ice cream (another wow!) and had to have the decadent three layer chocolate cake with more yummy huckleberries and whipped cream! My stout chocolate peanut butter beer was a perfect pair for me and my friend washed his amazing dinner down with the Mac n Jack’s!We wanted to order one of each on the menu… but thankfully stopped ourselves. Saving it for the next time! The owner; Mari was gracious and spent personal time with her guests! And our server/bar tender; Lisa was truly one of a kind!We wowed to be back again soon! This is now one of our favorites! In all of Washington! Thank you!

My husband and I had a small wedding reception at Scratch. It was perfect. We returned this eve to celebrate our birthdays, both in March. The food was cooked perfectly, including the calamari. Our server in the Rain Lounge was Lisa. She was one of the best customer service reps I have witnessed in some time. The drinks were very nice. I had a jalapeno bloody mary and a dirty martini. Both were great. Highly recommend.

Incredible. Quality of food, presentation, service. Old world, treat you like family experience. You depart happy in heart and soul because of the experience, your tastebuds relishing in amazement, and immediately checking your calendar as to how soon you can come back for Round 2! Thanks so very much!!

Recently visited this place and the aesthetics and environment is classy and welcoming. The food was great and had a nice presentation. The salad and rack of lamb were delicious with lots of flavor and cooked just perfect. Service was wonderful and I highly recommend this restaurant!

Recently visited Scratch for dinner and drinks on a Saturday night. Overall the atmosphere and experience was great. Our waitress was personable and attentive. The only reason I would give this spot 3 stars is the food and drinks. We ordered multiple rounds of drinks. The first were VERY syrup forward and sadly all we could taste was sugar. Our second drinks were a different recipe but were quite literally just a cup of ice and syrup, and a third round was the same drink but was served with far less ice, but more alcohol forward, and was it was as if they were made by two different people. Our bill for three was roughly $160, and for that cost I guess we just expected more consistency with our drinks and higher quality food for the cost. We ordered the meat and cheese board, veggie platter and calamari and all three were fairly lackluster. I’m happy to support a local business and want to give an honest review, therefore If you are marketing a higher quality place your menu should match that vibe.
