5.28.26: We all know I love a good sandwich and Shamus' has been on my list of places to try for some time now. We arrived about a half hour after they opened and I felt they were already getting kinda busy. Took a look at the menu and The Deadliest Catch immediately caught my eye and I went with that and added provolone cheese for an extra .75 cents, which isn't bad at all. Hands down one of the best sandwiches I've gotten out side of Seattle or New York City. About as close to the classic bodega sandwich as you can get. Plenty of love in the food and it gets to you fast.
The bread that the sandwiches are made on are absolutely awesome. They are from Alpine bakery. We enjoyed the Shamu's Favorite as well as the French Dip that they only offer in winter months. The Tuscan meatball white bean soup was salty and tasted store-bought. We would definitely go back but not for the soup.
