So, we heard of this place as a recommendation from another coach of ours. It’s a super cute place with a great ambiance. I’m a fan of the inside, with the paintings (vibrant colors) from only one artist. That was pretty cool. The service again was fantastic and outstanding. I mean you really couldn’t do much better than this. It’s a super nice and friendly place. The food, that’s the big thing we are looking at hear. Being someone who lives in Texas, take this with a grain of salt.We had the chicken artichoke and tomatoes basil soups. Personally, probably the best soups they have. We tried the jalapeno popper and it was very spicy. The beer cheese soup tasted ungodly for us. However, not our thing. The beer bread was really odd too, but we don’t eat that typically. Overall, we tried a lot and it was a lot of fun. Love the atmosphere indeed.I would go back for soup again. I do love a good soup.

This place is a very cute find. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with vibrant paintings inside. They have a very wide variety of soups, but the ones we got did not “wow” us. I’ve have better tomato basil, but the chicken artichoke was good. It is also a bit pricey to me - $30 for two cups of soup, two bread slices and a salad. It was okay.

Awesome cafeteria style lunch! The have a rotating selection of soups which I have to try many of. But all that I have had thus far have been worth coming back for! Also, THE BREAD!!! Service is very fast seeing that soups are prepared ahead of time and you just pick up at the counter. Great place for a quick lunch where you can relax downtown and enjoy warm comfort food!

Well it means well....something my mum use to say. I just did not like the way they prepared the salads in front of me. It seemed sparse and rushed. In addition to the tipping on a tablet. It was not very soulful or sophisticated. I do appreciate the vibe of the place which was nice. I liked my coconut curry soup. I doubt I'll be back.... Regrettable....

I am not a “soup lover” but I am absolutely obsessed with Soulful Soups. They have such a variety of options and paired with their famous beer bread (the reason I originally tried this restaurant) I’ve been converted. Definitely a must for those chilly Spokane days.

This place was amazing! If I was rich I would eat here every night and read in the comfort of this place. The soups were spectacular and the bread was rustic, refined, and perfect!

This is a really nice place to go for some quick soup! The atmosphere is nice, and they had fresh bread and good side salads. The soups were great, and our order was processed in a few minutes, which made it very quick to stop and eat!

Soulful Soups & Spirits in downtown Spokane offers a refreshingly straightforward dining experience that I find incredibly appealing. This quaint, cozy lunch spot specializes in what its name suggests – soups – and also features a small bar, making it an ideal destination for a quick, satisfying lunch. The charm of Soulful Soups & Spirits lies in its simplicity and focus on quality. Every soup I've tried here has been of high quality, indicating a dedication to their craft. A particularly delightful touch is the option to pair your soup with a slice of warmed beer bread, which I highly recommend. It's a small detail that significantly enhances the overall experience. The ambiance of the place is unpretentious and straightforward. Meals are served on aluminum trays, providing a no-nonsense yet comfortable dining experience. The menu rotates daily, usually offering a half dozen or more selections. However, staples like the classic tomato basil and chicken noodle are typically available, ensuring that everyone can find something to their taste. The option to sample soups before ordering at the counter is a thoughtful addition, allowing patrons to make informed choices. Moreover, the establishment is accommodating with to-go orders, which is a great convenience for those in a hurry. If you're a soup enthusiast or just looking for a cozy spot for a quick bite in downtown Spokane, Soulful Soups & Spirits comes with a strong recommendation from me. It's a place where the simplicity of a bowl of soup is celebrated, and the quality of food speaks for itself.

Best soup in town

Had a wonderful experience getting a cup of soup and bread tonight. I had read someone recommending mixing the beer cheese and tomato basil, and it was fantastic. We also got a bowl of just beer cheese, and it was way lighter than I was imagining, and had a slight spicey kick. Great service and fun environment, love the music selection.

Good, warm soup for cold days. Bread was hearty, appropriate to go with soup. Service was super friendly. Ambiance was comfortable. Nothing too fancy; just a good place to shelter: stay warm with soup and libations.
