This place did not disappoint in their steak, at all. Literally, best steak my husband and I have ever had, cooked perfectly. Everything is so beautifully seasoned. The mud pie was huge and delicious. And the salad was fresh, even the bread was scrumptious. The servers were so nice. I'd say the only suggestion I would have is a more permanent hostess, as we waited a while and things were awkwardly bottle necked at the door. The atmosphere is a nice mid fancy where you can dress up a bit but don't have to go all out. 10/10 new favorite steak place, don't waste your time anywhere else in Spokane.

First time visiting. Good was great. Celebrating our anniversary so wasn't concerned with time. Seemed OK. Nice place with our outdoor patio seating that was full. It was a nice evening. We'll be back for sure.

The food was incredible and worth every penny. We began with the in house smoked salmon appetizer. It was a meal in itself and mouthwatering delicious! The bread was perfect. The chowder was perfect. The spinach salad with steak tips was perfect. We enjoyed the quiet of the 4 pm supper and friendly interaction with the staff. We would eat there over and over again. I just forgot to take photos of the delicious food because we were too busy enjoying it! Go! Eat! Delight your tastebuds!

Recommended dishes: Clam Chowder

Had the mushroom ravioli, filet mignon with cheese mashed potatoes and the halibut fish & chips, and house lemonade. Everything was great tasting. Our food was super hot and fresh, the steak was a bit tough, surprisingly, but everything else was great. The lemonade was so perfect, not too sweet or sour.

For the price I was expecting a less grizzley steak. Out of the 14 oz steak, my guess was at least 5 or it was either fat or grizzle and the mashed potatoes were pretty dry. Awesome huckleberry mule though. Unable to make reservations but the wait wasn't horrible. Under 20 minutes

We decided to try The Barrel for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and our service was fantastic! We had the potato skins as an appetizer and they were wonderful! My husband also enjoyed the scallops with his ribeye! We sat in the garden and enjoyed the atmosphere and had such a wonderful experience.
We will definitely be back!

So glad we tried this restaurant! What a nice experience. The food and atmosphere were great. Even the table bread was amazing. Our waiter was very professional and friendly. Will definitely keep this one on the list for when we return to town.

I went here for dinner last night with a group.
The food was phenomenal and the waitress did a wonderful job serving us.
Tip; be sure to save up before coming here for dinner, since it is one of the more expensive restaurants in Spokane.
Definitely worth going there, if you decide to try it.

Went on Monday night. It was pretty crowded but we decided to hang out in the cocktails area and orderd 3 drinks
That took over 20 minutes. And we sat for another 20 minutes before being seated for dinner. It seemed like another hour before we received our meals. The food was delicious! But not worth wait.

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Wife’s steak was the worst steak we have had for a while. My halibut wasn’t much better. It has a cool atmosphere for outdoor eating but food was very disappointing. Other reviews had best steak in town not sure how they came to that

I have eaten at the Barrel several times and always enjoyed it but this time I ordered the New York steak medium rare. Unfortunately it came out medium despite making it clear I like it more medium rare. The waitress was exceptional and tried to accommodate but what came out after was even worse. I didn't want to complain because it was a friend's birthday so I didn't. The steak was raw and mostly fat. So disappointed.

The Barrel is one of those rare restaurants providing excellent food, outstanding service, in a comfortable “adult” environment. It’s my “go to” restaurant for special occasions, or when I just want a great meal in quiet surroundings. You won’t be disappointed.
