We went there for brunch. I had the classic eggs Benedict and my partner had the whiskey tenderloin hash. We enjoyed it immensely. We look forward to enjoying their dinner menu next month.

Great meal with a classy, but not too fancy of an atmosphere.

Best steak in the city, however, can't walk away recommending the halibut fish and chips; they were overcooked, hard and dry. Delicious old fashions and creme brulee was on point!!

I started my meal with the wedge salad that was a decent start and raised my expectations for the remainder of the meal. I ordered a medium rare sirloin and southwest chicken corn soup. They brought me a medium cooked sirloin and garlic fries. When I indicate I ordered the soup the servers were curious enough to bring me a cup. It had more baby lima beans than corn but had a decent taste. I am not sure if they know what medium rare is, but the steak was tender and or ver seasoned. Plus it was served with a horseradish sauce that was suitable for my fries. My party arrive shortly before dinner and some were disappointed they at to wait for the dinner menu. Lunch prices were reasonable compared to the dinner prices, but the selection was limited.

Was excited to try a new place for a birthday. Overall just disappointed. The online waitlist was not accurate, slow service, and food was unimpressive. Too bad.

I don't understand why restaurants want to make it so hard to support them. Now they don't take reservations. If you want a reservation you have rent the banquet room. We have 9 people including a baby and an 80+ year old in a wheelchair and they just want us to show up and hope we can be seated. Hard pass. We are done. You guys are ridiculous.
The Barrel is back baby! We have been coming here for about nine years. Over the years it has been a bit of a ride with some highs and lows, ownership changes, COVID, limited hours etc. I am happy to report they are IMO better than ever. Had lunch there about two weeks ago and everything was so delicious. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu and it was incredible. Today we popped in (Sunday) around 11 to have lunch but they actually doing a Brunch menu. I will say there was some conflicting information about what menus they were offering, and although we weren't really wanting breakfast we decided to stay and enjoy. So glad we did. Me and my dad each had the chicken fried steak, and it was delicious. Eggs cooked perfectly and really nice crispy breakfast cubed potatoes. Our service was exceptional and our drinks were always full, our plates cleared and our bill presented. She was very kind, knowledgeable and efficient. We are already making plans to come for lunch and get the Halibut and Chips we were originally craving. Check it out!

We went there for brunch today. The server was nice. My husband’s prawn and polenta dish was delicious. I ordered the waffle because I was excited about the huckleberry compote. However, it was brought out with a mixed berry topping. The topping was bitter and tart. Honestly, it was really bad. I ate around it and just didn’t finish my meal. I was surprised that they didn’t even say anything about switching the topping. My friend’s crab Benedict tasted fresh but very bland. Overall, it was disappointing but not horrible.

Everything is way overpriced for what you get. Good, but way overpriced. This is Spokane. Not New York city.

I got the prime rib baked potato salad. The salad was amazing. I didn't get to eat the baked potato I dropped it. The prime rib was good. I just wish it was more seasoned. It became flavorless on them inside.
Update i went back & the server was in a mood. The food was good but asking for something was like pulling teeth. She was nice just before she was supposed to be tipped. And didn't stay that way just after. Unprofessional.

Beautiful place! Service was fine. Food was good. This is a great date night place especially on the patio. I had the chicken cordon bleu and it was great. The rest of the party had steaks and they enjoyed them.
