Love there onion rings. They are the best
We loved the Onion this afternoon with great drinks hospitality and fun with a group of 25. Great service for our group
Great food and service
Heidi was the most gracious and considerate server I have ever had the pleasure to meet.
❤️❤️ Love ya Heidi! 7/11/2025.
Attentive service and food was great
Bret Womble Best bar tender on the planet.
I have been to many restaurants. Our server Bret was an incredibly attentive, nice young man that completely elevated our dining experience. I mean he recommended the cougar gold cheese dip because it would be good dipping for my burger fries. He offered alcohol pairings with dinner entrees and checked on us more than my mom does- and that is saying something. The food was decent but man, the service by Bret was bar none!!! Definitely recommend!
Decent food, great service, nice clean place. It's a little dark inside which drives me kind of crazy but not a big deal.
Just went there and it was horrible. Came in town from New Orleans and decided to give it a shot. The wait for a table was extremely long due to them taking to many reservations and basically not having enough staff or tables for walk ins. They only had one bartender for a night they said was going to be extremely busy. While waiting in line to buy a shirt the bartender lost and cool and yelled at everyone to get out the way because people was in line waiting for him. He was not good under pressure. After finally getting a table the waitress only came to our table twice. First to get our order the second was when we had to stop her because something was wrong with our order. She never checked on our drinks which we had to go to the bar to get our own or to see if our food was even ok. The food was horrible also. Steak came back well when medium rare was requested. Multiple issues with everyone’s food. The manager took the food off the bill but it ruined the night. Will Make sure this place is never recommended.
All of our food was Luke warm. The server was nice.

My wife and I went to the North side Onion last Friday after a Halloween school event for our granddaughter. We usually enjoy the meals and atmosphere at both Spokane locations. We ordered the French Onion Soup, which was stellar as usual, along with the Steak Sandwich and yummy pepper sauce. Everything was great except the steak. It was so tough that it was barely edible. We were very disappointed and will never order it again. We plan to still patronize the Onion as most past experiences have been fine.

The fish and fries were very greasy to say the least! Had to ask 3 times for straws for our drinks. Very disappointing all the way around ?. The wood work around the windows were very dusty.

3pm on a Saturday and the lady up front tells us the restaurant is closed for an hour while they switch the staff. That was a lie. There was private party on that side so we sat on the tap house side. People kept coming in with gifts and ballon’s and going to the restaurant side so it’s obvious it wasnt closed for the staff to switch.
10 minutes after placing our order we were told the “new” menu item I ordered was not available. Took 15 min to get our drinks then another 25 for food. They screwed my son’s burger twice. So he got it when my wife and Daughter were done eating. I didn’t eat because they ran out of pastrami. Unbelievable how crappy this place is being run. At least the waitress was OK. Every table had at least 1 item sent back to the kitchen. Management and the owners should be ashamed. Complete garbage experience. Stay away. Stay very far away

The Northside vibe is completely different from The Onion downtown. Not bad, just different. This place has more of a chain restaurant feeling.
Our food was good. Try the Cougar Gold cheese dip appetizer. It's delicious. We also like the onion rings. Everything is typically good.
The server named Sam is the nicest young man! Our service was excellent. I recommend this place for a regular night out.
Parking: Easy free parking. Nice option if you're tired of dealing with downtown parking fees.
Kid-friendliness: Kid approved. They give you crayons and a menu to color as well as I little bag of gold fish to keep kiddos going and distracted till food comes. Pretty cool idea!
