One of the most amazing little restaurants I've ever been ... awesome ambience, good energy flowing among team members, perfect for Soup and sandwiches lunch time. The best tomato Soup ever. A must stop place in Spokane. Recommend the turkey sandwiches and clam chowder... and the spicy Mac & cheese is way beyond this world. Full of rich taste. Congrats Cheaf and team!!!

This the best soul food in the Pacific Northwest, Usually when I get greens at soul food restaurants they be plain, the greens here are made with love and the chicken is top tier. Also the catfish was on point! I’m from Texas and this was the closest that I’ve had to home cookin!

It was bomb af. Good service, good vibes . I recommend the cat fish …my dude got chicken and waffles and the waffle was perfect too. Spokane don’t deserve this.

The food was wonderful! We enjoyed everything on our plate. The Chef can really cook! The little old lady that served us was super sweet. I really was happy that they don't use any pork in their side dishes. The owner/chef came out and spoke with us and made sure we felt right at home. Plus I was able to support black business so that was the cherry on top for me!!!

Loved this place!!!! The food was great and the service was excellent. Liked the very simple menu. Ordered chicken and waffles, a 3 wing dinner, a thigh wing & drum dinner, and a kids meal. Chicken was fresh and seasoned well, all sides were cooked really good and tasted great (had greens, cabbage, mac & cheese, and yams....cabbage was a lil salty but still really good), and the waffle was lite and flavorful. We received lovely service from the waitress. Also got a chance to speak to the owner who was a nice gentleman. We discussed his roots and mine, and had a short conversation about food (I'm a foodie so that was right up my alley). All that being said, I would definitely go there again and certainly recommend it to any and all who love real soul food.

I think that if Anthony Bourdain visited Spokane today, he’d do a show on Lisa and this place. The food is amazing! Best chicken and greens I’ve had in ages, top it off with a cold beer, one can’t go wrong. Don’t be in a rush, good food takes time, and is worth the wait. I’ll be visiting again soon.Google has their hours all jacked up, I’d call and confirm earlier in the week.

He put his foot in that chicken, it was so good. A little more work on the waffles though, Five out of five stars for the food, cleanliness, Two orders of chicken and waffles took a little longer to come out then we had expected considering we were the only people in the place ordering food, but it was worth it because we would definitely come back for that chicken.

A friend of mine took me here yesterday and the food was fresh and fabulous! Our waitress was funny charming and she called herself short and fat. So sweet! A must try!

Best catfish in town! The drumettes, think hot wings, are crazy good too. And the greens are some of the best I've had. If you need chicken and waffles this is also the place for that.

Food was excellent. Fried chicken was wonderful and the shrimp and grits were well worth coming back for! Staff was warm and friendly making all of us feel welcome.

Listen Linda!! I’m from the South…Florida to be exact, but when I say The Soul Lounge Bar and Grill didn’t come to play! Everything was fresh and seasoned to perfection! D the owner is theeeee absolute best, very down to earth atmosphere! Oh and that sock it to me cake…baby it did just that…sooo good! Support Black Owned!

Last night, my office went out to happy hour at The Soul Lounge Bar and Grill. We showed up at 4pm on a Wednesday and we were the only people there. The atmosphere, food, drinks, and service did not disappoint.We were a group of 12 and we ordered a variety of appetizers and meals: chicken and waffles, wings, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and candied yams. Everything was delicious , especially the fried chicken and the chicken wings.We consistently ordered drinks and they were very quick with the service. After we ate and drank, we all played pool on their three pool tables.The workers (I think one was the owner) was very friendly and comical. They treated us very well and I will be sure to return in the near future. I do recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time or a good meal.

Mr D and his staff where very nice and pleasant! Not to mention the food was so good the best food have eaten in the last two weeks since being in Washington.. everything was well seasoned and delicious finger licking.

Food and service was amazing!!

Hands down best food I have eaten in a restaurant in a long time. Everything was amazing. The owner really took care of my friend and I, making sure we had everything we needed/wanted. We had a little bit of everything: chicken (the absolute perfect combination of crispy and juicy, never had chicken like it), greens, mac and cheese, sweet potato, and waffles (softest best tasting waffle of my life!). And to top it off we finished with some amazing peach cobbler. If you are looking for some amazing food, you have got to give this place a try.
