I am a big fan of good, no great sushi. It is not always easy to find in our wonderful little big town of Spokane. Umi North delivered, not only really great sushi but tremendous service. They were fast, kind an extremely friendly. My family and I tried 4 or 5 different rolls and all of them were beautiful and delicious. No great sushi is ever cheap but it was very reasonably priced. I am looking forward to going back because I saw some other meals being delivered to tables like the chow mein and fried rice that look huge and would be a great sharable. I highly recommend if you want great ambiance, service and food.

I’ve gone before and service wasn’t the best, but my latest experience led to me write this review. I had myla as my server and she wouldn’t bring us any refills, and when we asked for something she wouldn’t bring it. When she finally came around she was in a rush and would say ‘yup’ or ‘yeah’ as she was already walking away. Didn’t even get a chance to place our full order because she just walked away. When we arrived we saw a friend we knew and she interrupted us and had our friend sit back at his table. We didn’t like one of the rolls and the host (who was an absolute gem) took it from us infront of myla who never asked if we liked our food or mentioned that we didn’t like it. When we told her we didn’t like it she was shocked as if she didn’t witness it. She only took it off the bill after we had to ask (we didn’t eat it). All in all sushi was pretty good but service was so bad I will not be returning.

Every restaurant I attend I always check the cleanliness, table, napkins when cloth, silverware, glassware, etc. Typically I will see water spots, often enough I will see hardened material on a plate or silverware. While I don’t appreciate the miss, I just use the clean utensils that are available.Unfortunately, at Umi, the napkin had crusty-chunks on it, the bread plate and buttering dish had both hard and oily residue, and lastly the glass had lip markings.So I did not stay for food, unacceptable dirty…

My Fiancée and I ate here recently, and we were both highly impressed.We have eaten at several different sushi houses in Spokane, and for us, Umi is far and above the best.Everything we ate was absolutely fantastic, and of the highest quality, across the board.We will absolutely be returning!!

Oh my word I cannot say enough about this sushi place! We got seated so fast our waitress did an amazing job at making sure we were all good we got our food not even 5 minutes after we ordered and the place was so sleek and clean. I swear this was the best sushi I’ve had in my life! My boyfriend dosent like seafood that much and got the spicy sea food udon and he LOVED IT! Definitely my sushi spot from now on!

Tried a few sushi restaurants in Spokane. I discovered Umi kitchen and wow!! Rolls are super fresh, delicious fresh ginger, and service is great! I drive an hour from Stevens County, so it better be worth it. Prices are reasonable, the more expensive rolls can feed two. I had a Tiger roll and a Salmon Skin roll.

Fantastic find. On our sushi date tour my son and I ended up here because our regular place was closed. Blessing in disguise. Service was warm, choices were better because of their uniqueness and the fish was fresh, tender and cut to an exceptional portion.
