Stanwood has limited options for dining so when my friend said that this place has really good fish & chips and fried oysters, well, off we went. It’s a total dive bar so be prepared to not expect much in terms of nice seating. Service was friendly and food, really tasty.

The Mushroom Swiss burger was very good! Moist and tasty! The JoJos were nicely flavored! I felt the love in this burger! I would definitely recommend a burger here.

I had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with tater tots. The sandwich was excellent! I think there was probably enough tots for 4, or 5 people. I forgot to take the picture until after I had eaten over half of them. ? The wife had a cheeseburger and onion rings. Really good onion rings that was also a very generous amount. That staff was super friendly! Great place for lunch.

My S.O. and I are fairly new to the area and this has quickly become our favorite bar. The food is great. The teriyaki burger/blue cheese burger is delicious and my S.O. really enjoys the oysters. We like the atmosphere and the selection. Chelsea has been our bartender almost everytime we've gone and she's awsome! Super friendly and funny. We will definitely go back, again and again. Strongly recommend if you like divey/chill pubs.
Vegetarian options: They have a veggie burger option which they've swapped out everytime I've eaten here.

Delightful little place, it's pretty small but the staff is very friendly. Service was a bit slow but only one waitress was on duty, and she was also the bartender, so can't really be faulted for that. Food was freshly made and very yummy.They had out a holiday drink menu that didn't actually match what they had in stock, but the waitress/bartender was very accommodating and helped make up for that.Would gladly visit again if we happen to be in the area!

I called in to order a burger to go. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrive at the boxcar almost exactly 15 minutes later. I tell them I had a call in order, and they hadn't even started cooking it yet. 20 minutes after I arrive they finish the burger and hand me my food. It took them some time to even start cooking after I arrived.Burger quality was ok, the cost was over $20 with a tip, which I shouldn't have left. I would normally leave a worse review but this could just be a one off thing. Regardless for the cost of the burger you can get much better food in Stanwood.
