Came here for the first time tonight and literally my new favorite spot. We got the flaming goat with bacon to start- literally the best ever. HIGHLY recommend. I had the falafel gyro and it was AMAZING, my husband got a chimichurri chicken situation and graciously let me have a bite and it was SO GOOD! We can’t wait to come back.

Nice place for a pint and a bite. We stopped here for a Sunday lunch. The beer is quite good, with a mix of house brewed and beers/ciders from outside. The food is inventive and generous. I had a Banh Mi, made with pulled pork. Really interesting mash up, and really tasty. My companion had a gyro - packed full of veg and lamb slices. We sat outside, enjoying the cooler air, sipping our beers. Just a very nice place to visit.

I love and appreciate that as a two barrel brewery, Matt (owner/brewmaster) is constantly focused on the job at hand. From hand selecting the ingredients, to understanding the season, ensuring his beers align with the menu.....its stellar and changing. If you want the same beer every time with no changes, this may not be your place. BUT....if you don't mind or look forward to seeing/trying and tasting what's fresh, seasonal and really, really good, then it doesn't take much bravery to go enjoy.
Now...let's talk about the food. Kristine (owner, chef) is not only highly skilled and takes pride in her menu and presentation, she has a deep artistic, creative and personal approach to her food. I loved her burger. Perfectly cooked, brioche bun, home made pickles (to die for), etc. My wife raved about her Chicken Quesadilla (one of the many specials of the day). Combined with the beer, the gorgeous patio, the perfect weather, and a really nice group of customers, it was a bit of heaven on earth.
Add the outstanding rest of the team....and you have a great location, excellent food and beverage, just waiting to exceed your expectations.
So...take the time to get off of I-5 and wander into Stanwood and grab a bite and brew at SAAL's. No regrets. Oh yeah...they are also dog lovers.

Saal Brewing Company is a great little microbrewery that serves solid pub fare and offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. I especially appreciated the outdoor seating area—perfect for hanging out with your dog, and they’re definitely dog-friendly, which is always a big plus.
The service was excellent—our server was super friendly and made us feel right at home. I tried the Hazy IPA, which was very tasty, and the beef dip sandwich was also quite good. My only minor critique is that the au jus dipping sauce was a bit too salty for my taste, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
All in all, a great visit. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

Best damn fish tacos I've ever had! Excellent local beer selection, dog friendly inside and out! Friendly staff and fairly efficient flow. Not to mention in a beautiful area for a drive. Worth the stop.

The best food in Stanwood. If you're lucky, and Kristine is feeling generous, you may be able to catch their Reuben sandwich - the best I've ever had
