Had dinner with my bride here tonight. We both ordered the Halibut and a nice reisling wine to go with it. The food was amazing, super flavorful and worth the price! We finished it off with their Chocolate Lava Cake with vanilla ice cream! Also wonderful! Our waitress Mary Sue was absolutely amazing and made us feel very valued and answered all our questions! She really made our night extra special! Thank you!

Took my parents to breakfast. I was excited to order the brioche French toast however they were out. I’ve been decided to try the breakfast buffet after loading up my plate and going back to the table. My pancakes were cold. The butter did not melt. The scrambled eggs were cold and I don’t mean room temperature but cold. I never did get my coffee refilled after food was delivered. We were never checked upon to see how everything was. My husband and parents ordered from the menu, which was OK nothing wonderful at all. Just your average food. Service was poor. We were never checked in on and my coffee was never refilled until I got the servers attention.
Not recommended . The atmosphere was that of an elementary school cafeteria it was loud and no ambience.. food selection was poor.

So disappointed! We tried to have the brunch buffet but unfortunately the food was so slow to be filled once empty we didn’t even get to try most of it. The kicker here is that there was only basics to choose from in about 5-6 warm things that pretty “blah”. Everyone around seemed really disappointed as I hear servers say “it’s coming soon” several times. Perhaps ordering off the menu would be better. Service was slow but friendly overall.

Stopped in yesterday, Monday, 7/7, for lunch. We just missed the buffet, so they were doing a very limited menu but we both found something to eat. I had the Bison chili, with a side of sour cream and a cup of coffee. My Aunt had the Seafood salad which had an amazing amount of seafood in it, she loved it.
The chili was good, but not warmed up enough. I'm allergic to corn so they were kind enough to bring me a lovely little loaf of fresh bread instead of the corn bread.
The staff was awesome. I can't say enough about how kind they were, the lady who filled our water glasses offered to help my Aunt with her chair, everyone was helpful and kind.
View was lovely, I would have given atmosphere a 5 but the staff did vacuum near us while we were seated which I find not only annoying but unsanitary.
I would go again but I'd wouldn't go right after a holiday and our fault in the timing, we should have gotten there earlier for lunch.
Thanks again to the lovely staff - love the Fourth of July fingernails!

The group of hostesses were really bad. They Told us the wait was 45 minutes and we were seated 2 hours later in an empty restaurant. We were also seated without the waitress knowing we were there. They didn’t tell them. They were also quite rude and didn’t seem to care about anything. It was kind of a disaster but there was no where else to eat. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was good but I’ve never had such a dumpster fire experience in a restaurant in my life.

Wanted a nice little Fathers Day brunch after our hike….everything was bad. Showed up 9 minutes before our reservation and I’m met with “you know, we really do request you to show up at your scheduled time” with a bunch of attitude. So we walk around for 9 minutes, to arrive at exact minute of the reservation to avoid another scolding. Then as they’re seating us they let us know the brunch menu advertised on the website isn’t being offered, all they have is continental breakfast (bacon, undercooks potatoes, and pancakes)….everything else they were out of. Just a disappointment all around. Everyone left hungry and annoyed.

Make a reservation when you check in!
We stayed the night at Skamania for our anniversary, away from our young kids and ready to take full advantage of a night to ourselves (first time in 3 years). We got ready for dinner, went down to check out the menu around 5:30 and there were 4 staff hanging out by the host station. They asked if we were dining with them and we said we’ll be back, just going to have a drink at the bar first. When we came back a short while later, they asked if we had a reservation and that it was going to be a 1.5 hr wait.
Never did they once ask us about a reservation while we were standing there, nor at check in a couple hours earlier. We ended up waiting around for 1.5hrs, which meant we weren’t able to go in the hot tub and relax like we wanted to and all we could thing about is how silly it was they didn’t ask us if we had or wanted to make a reservation. I would have probably just ate at the bar and skipped the dining room all together but we thought it would be special. Speaking of specials, they were out of that AND all of the dessert options by the time we were seated…so didn’t even get to really celebrate.
So I messaged the hotel and no response. I then filled out one of their surveys from an email I got and a few days later I got a message from a “no-reply” email from Amanda, the dining outlet manager, saying they “will try and do better next time”. I still have a bad taste in my mouth and it’s not from the food.

Our server Travis was awesome! So friendly and efficient! The food was very good and the view was nice. The seafood salad was really good as was the seafood gratin was quite tasty. And I highly recommend the house sourdough bread! Signage was lacking for getting to the restaurant but overall it was a very good experience!
Service was great but food wasn’t great. We ordered prime rib and it was tough. My husband didn’t eat his. The waitress was great didn’t charge for his meal but was very disappointed in the food.
We dined at the Cascade Room for prime rib night yesterday. The food was delicious, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was perfect with great views of the river. The highlight of our night though, was our waitress, Jolene. She was so sweet, attentive and had great reccomendations - we would come back just have her as our server again!!
Very impresed. This wild boar with polenta and beets is one of the most decadent meals I have had. Outstanding, rich and creamy flavor. I do recommend. I didn't like sitting behind the bussing station. I think that should go. But, a beautiful view out the window that we were also next to.
Such a lovely place. Food was very good, but I believe the waitstaff was short handed. Waited quite a while to order, and for food delivery. Staff well intentioned, but needed more help.
