Gotta Hava Java Coffee hut is a charming, budget-friendly coffee spot nestled at the entrance of the beautiful town of Stevenson, Washington. Gotta Hava Java Coffee is a cozy little spot I have visited many times. Lately, it's become my go-to coffee shop, and for good reason.
What keeps me coming back?
*Non fat milk lattes. Surprisingly, many coffee shops don't offer this option, but Gotta Hava Java does. *Affordable pricing. They have the cheapest coffee in town, making it a great spot for a budget friendly caffeine fix. *Consistency improving over time. I have noticed some inconsistency with the syrup measurements - sometimes too much sometimes too little. But after frequent visits, I have found they usually get it right, and my lattes have been mostly great.
One downside: their dual-lane setup. On one visit, after patiently waiting in line, a car pulled up into the other side and was served first, which didn't set right for me. I ended up leaving because I believe first-come, first-serve should be the standard. (Sometimes, there is a person on each side, but this was not the case at this time.)
On a sweeter note, they always offer a treat for my pup, which he absolutely loves! Another rare touch-they don't ask for tips and won't take one unless you explicitly tell them to keep something for themselves, which isn't the norm these days. Overall, Gotta Hava Java is a charming and economical spot that's earning its place as my regular coffee house.

Lovely little coffee stand. They warm all the pastries tho, so if you don't want a piping hot muffin/scone request it to not be warmed.

That employee was so sweet and fast, even with a huge line, and she still chatted with me! The view was amazing, and that coffee? Best I've ever had! Seriously, 11/10, I'll *always* recommend it. I got an Easter special from the April menu. Great prices, too.

Just don't go when the tori girl is working... I've heard at least 5 people complain about her attitude. I gave her the benefit of doubt and never judged her for having a bad day.
But here's the thing its every time I see her.
Ordered a 24oz cold drink and she handed me a hot one. But apparently it's my fault she was looking at her phone and forgot ?
I love everyone else. but damn girl is grumpy and your trying to have a good morning and then u see someone who definitely doesn't want to be there.

This was my first time coming here. My barista, who was blonde and had a lot of makeup on, was extremely rude. She treated us like we were stupid, and when asked about some of the menu items, she was rude and didn't give us full answers. She wasn't able to answer most questions we had about the drinks, and it felt like she was rushing us to order (there was nobody behind us). No one could be less charming.

First and last time visiting this coffee shop. The barista working (blonde and blue hair) was incredibly rude, didn’t know how (or didn’t want) to answer questions about the products/menu, and made my family and I feel very unwelcome. We decided we’d rather make the trip back home without any coffee at all. Hopefully the owner can find some new staff.

I have been here before and the service and drinks were ecxellent. Today, the barista was so rude while we were ordering (there was no line) we ended up leaving. I couldnt believe the attitude she had while answering our questions about our order. We have a family of 6 so it does take a bit to place all of the oders, but honestly I'll spend my money where people are paid by a corporation to be nice... I'm sad that we felt so unwelcome. I won't reward behavior like that no matter how much I really wanted some yummy coffee... How dissappointing.

Great baristas and well-made coffee and baked goods. Open 7 days, really appreciated in this part of the Columbia Gorge where there are few coffee options. My favorite stop on the Washington side. No indoor seating, but a small covered outdoor area for two.

The good: the only coffee place open at 3pm on a Sunday.Ordered a couple of 16oz. Americanos. The bad: been here a few times and the coffee is always a little weak and seems watered down. Wish it was a little more flavorful.
