Anthem Coffee & Tea | Tacoma

Good things:
-Vibe is great
-Coffee is delicious (I order a black classic cold brew and it's not bitter in the slightest)
-Plenty of tables and plugs if you're staying for a bit and working.
-The Washington History Museum is next door and the parking is cheap, so you can hang out for a while and not worry about getting towed.

Would be nice:
-Please offer more vegan food options

Not so great:
-The staff locks the only bathroom door well before closing time on multiple occasions.
-There are constantly a large swarm of flies inside and it's kinda gross!

Disappointed with anthem. No music and the last few times I’ve walked over the coffee shots are dead over 30 seconds. the time it takes to get your coffee is a long wait which is based on if you know them or not. they had a customer come in after me and two other customers who got their burrito and drink before I got my drink even started on. I get having regulars but starting that customers order immediately and not working on the people ahead who have been waiting patiently was great customer service to one customer and horrible for the rest of us. The Starbucks across the street will be a better option if you’re looking for decent coffee and amazing customer service that makes your drinks in order and in a timely manner.

Waited about 5 minutes to order while the barista and cashier finished their conversation, grabbed an americano and an iced latte. Atmosphere was poor. Asked to use the bathroom, but they said there wasn’t any toilet paper so they had to close it. Homeless parked right outside the front with homeless loitering inside the store. Coffee was average, but latte was sour. Maybe the milk was bad. I threw it out after 2 sips.

Good coffee shop located near the Chihuly bridge and Washington State History Museum. UW Tacoma is right in front too. I got an oatmilk cappucino and a classic avocado toast. The coffee wasn’t strong and I didn’t like it. Maybe there was just one shot of espresso in the 8oz one I got. The avocado toast was delightful and I finished it fairly quickly.

I was clearly waiting in line and the barista allowed a lady to cut and take her order first. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but I'm in a hurry to get to the airport today. Not the best showing for you guys

We had a great day today at the glass museum and WA state museum. Inbetween we decided to grab lunch here. The service was beyond great and the food amazing! Everyone was pleasantly replenished before continuing on our adventures. ??‍⬛

Has amazing view and seems like a good place to work.

Dietary restrictions: They have all types of milk options and the staff was very knowledgeable about what was in the baked goods.

We were waiting for 10 mins to order and the lady there was not that nice. She totally ignored us and took forever to make other drinks. The only time she had speaked to us, she was rude. We didn’t even order because we were being ignored and it took forever. I would not recommend this place at all, Very rude.
