Always fresh! The bento box special is a MUST! We go at least once every 2weeks! I love that it's so close to my house and job!

Classic PNW-style teriyaki of high quality, in an unassuming family-owned spot in Tacoma close to UPS. Food was well-prepared and flavorful, and the service was friendly.

We go when we want short ribs. The short ribs and yakisoba are great. They have the best egg rolls in the city! Service is good. The restaurant is small and uninviting, but you can always go home, right?! No complaints!

Nice folks, but old fish and poor sushi. I don’t recommend this place. We got sick after eating here.

Not sure why I've never reviewed this place. It's our go-to for our 1-2 times a month takeout. Yakisoba is my favorite, and my husband usually gets the bento box or the special. Spicy teriyaki is also very good. Everything we've tried is delicious. The food is consistently good. Portions are still very generous, which is appreciated with all the shrinkflation these days. I'd rather have price increases than ever-shrinking portions at some restaurants these days. This is the only neighborhood teriyaki place we will eat at after getting sick from the one down the street. Plus the owners are super nice!

This place was so unassuming but it's definitely one of the best in Tacoma!! A must try the chicken teriyaki was cooked to perfection with a nice char and the sauce took me back to childhood no lie!! The woman at the front was very sweet as well. This is a new favorite/ got and I will be back!!! I wish I took a picture it was DELICIOUS

Woman working counter was fantastic and very friendly. Food was quick, hot and very tasty. Had the atmosphere of a proper hole in the wall location which locked in that you knew it'd be good.

Not the best looking building, and it lacks ambiance, but the family that runs it are fantastic. I’ve only had the teriyaki and its the best in my area. The proportions are great, allowing me to have a nice next day lunch.

The little lady up front was so great I mean literally I told her if she has Apple Pay she usually does but today she didn't bring it and she found another way for me to pay instead of telling me No. I had got a spicy chicken teriyaki and man oh man it was great a lot of sauce literally all over the chicken so good and it wasn't dry meat at all great spicy and very goooooood sauce. Only thing is I recommend there be sauces at the table because I'm from west Seattle and they do that all the time and the costumers come back because they like that thing about the restaurant other than that great food and the lady upfront I'm telling you is very awesome! Construction worker her and I approve!!

Mom & Pop with a long history! Come here and eat! This is the type of small mom and pop business that everyone should be supporting in their communities. The food overall is good. They work hard to put out a quality product and they don't overcharge either. The value is there! It is an elderly asian couple who own and run this place have done so for many years yet I've seen customers get mad at the woman for her accent. She is very sweet and bends over backward to provide the best service that she can and never does she deserve to be treated poorly by anyone. When it comes to Teriyaki, there are too many choices around the Tacoma area and I've eaten at almost every single one of them. This one stands out far above the rest for good customer service, good tasting food, good value for the product and an overall sense of community. The building is old and the furniture needs replacement but they keep it as clean as they can and they work probably harder than they should at their age so please if you're in the mood for Japanese food, make it a point to head over to Bento!
