I'm always surprised more people don't know about this place. One block up from Seven Seas, Black Fleet Brewing has some seriously tasty brews! It's hard to find smoked beers, even harder to find a good one. Their Fire Ship Smoked Red is outstanding!! One of my favorite beers in Tacoma. Atmosphere? Friendly and inviting with plenty of seating. Food is good and they have some cool merchandise too. This is one of my best kept secrets, so I'm passing it along...
The beers are excellent. The food is good too. It wasn't very busy when I went, it was a Sunday about 90 minutes before they close.

Wow what a great place! The Captains burger was to die for and the beer was excellent. The house made sauces, homemade fries and atmosphere. Someone put some serious thought in the menu and design.
