Went here the night of the tree lighting at the Pantages a couple weeks ago and will not return. While waiting in line (with only 2 customers in front of me) there’s a man who received his coffee with the world tiniest little container of creamer so he asked for more (not rude in any way) to which an older blonde lady responds, very loud with an attitude “can you be patient and wait” even tho he didn’t get what he ALREADY ordered. The only reason I didn’t leave was because we had a bit to wait for the tree lighting and I wanted something warm for me and my kid.

Ordered a Vanilla Frappe and a Bagel, bagel was fine (prepackaged ), but the drink was shockingly bad. I read the reviews and thought this place was something different. The frappe was ice blended up with milk/creamer and vanilla extract. No whip cream, no vanilla bean. The drink was hard to finish, i was drinking crushed ice with milk. A bit pricey, but not uncommon for cafes. Customer service was also not the best. I can see how people would find the workers rude and off-putting. Trust me, go someplace else!

This is a locally owned coffee shop and I am happy the current owners have kept the vibe this space has had for over 20 years... first as Legal Grounds, then as Tullys... now the Bostwick.Service is friendly and the coffee is solid. I always try shots of espresso these days... and Bostwicks are smooth, not bitter.Good range of simple bagels, sandwiches and pastries.

it's a nice coffee shop! the coffee was good but i would stay away from the lox bagel. it tastes way too fishy, almost like it came from a can or something.

Cute cafe, friendly staff. Good food/coffee. Perfect place to hang out on a lazy weekend. It's nice when the staff plays live piano. :)

What a weird vibe at this cafe. As soon as I walked in with my family, I felt coldness from the three women working behind the register. My hubby tried to break the ice to ask a question about flavors (which we could have guessed) and one of them answered in a flat tone. We were not looking for an over abundance of cheeriness, but a simple smile, nod or hello would have been welcoming. We were the only customers in line. Instead, each of them continued to look suspiciously at us even as we sat down to enjoy our three drinks. We specifically came to this cafe to support local businesses. We love trying out new cafes. But we will never go back here. And the lattes were just meh, anyways.

This place is great! My friend has been telling me about it for weeks and she finally dragged me out to experience it for myself. The food was great and the server, Rebel was the best. Thanks for showing the love and making us laugh. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Overall the drinks are ok but nothing spectacular. The thing that really disappointed me about this place what the “cafe etiquette”. What kind of cafe has all their power outlets sealed so customers can’t use them? No public restrooms, asking for wifi was met with a glare, and the cashier looked bothered by our mear presence.Only reason I gave more than 1 star was because the drinks were drinkable and the location was nice.Don’t recommend, overall. Go somewhere else.

stopped in this morning for some coffee and a bagel with my partner. atmosphere was clean and nice. coffee and food was OK (the sandwich and bagel tasted like it was just microwaved, a little soggy)was very put off by the fact that someone came in and asked to buy a cup of hot water with change and they quickly said “we don’t serve hot water” and proceeded to ignore this person until they left. very quick to judge and very rude

Ever since they were bought out it hasn't been the same. I asked for an iced americano and they didn't use fresh shots but shots that were previously made and put into a ketchup bottle lol. Then I asked for brown sugar flavor but when I tasted it it had no sweetness to it at all. The lady said she put flavor in it and when I asked for more she grabbed an empty bottle which I assume WAS the brown sugar flavor and added hot water to it and shook it up and poured it in my drink. At this point I was over it and just left.

This is a great place. The coffee is very nice with a slight bite that does not overpower. This is a refreshing change of pace from the blander espresso offerings most everywhere else. As noted in other reviews the space is wonderful with lots of character. The one downside is a complete lack of power outlets. Make sure your laptop battery is charged if you come here to work. .

Too cute! All of my fawning for this place is due to the atmosphere. While the coffee was good, their selection is fairly limited. The muffin was like angel food cake!?! I want more from this place, but I can't really complain since I simply do love the decor. Anytime you can make a dynamic entrance down a lovely staircase, let alone on a first date? Sold.
