“This was my first experience at a McMenamins property and we found it to be lots of fun! The Tacoma property is at the old Elks We explored all seven floors, five of which featured different bar/restaurants! All under one roof. We are in the main dining room, and then went down to the Old Hangout for after dinner drinks. We loved the artwork on every floor the unique chandeliers, and the eclectic atmosphere!“

What a great experience. Shill and relaxed atmosphere. Jessi was also nice and attentive and showed us how to use the tap. Tried a good variety of beers there. Nice concept and a nice ending to our evening.“

“My Review: Had an excellent lunch here in the Tarvern. I had the Aztec salad and my husband had the Jamician Rice bowl with tofu added. For dessert we split the Blueberries & Cream Basque Cheesecake and it was like eating a delicious cloud! The food here is just part of the experience. The building is wonderfully decorated with glass chaldeiners and lights hanging from the ceiling, lots of stained glass windows throughout, and several photos of the Elk’s club throughout the years. If you have some extra time I highly recommend exploring the whole building, especially the 7th and 6th floors to enjoy more chandeliers and art work. It makes my heart happy to see an old building take on a new purpose, McMenamins has done a wonderful job with the place.
