The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. Pacific grill is a Tacoma staple and this place certainly represents the willingness to please and a commitment to customer satisfaction. I have a dietary restriction and it was tear-jerking how committed our server was to make sure I eat for my benefit, not harm. Love Pacific Grill. Thank you.

Wish the french fries were a little bit more harder and more saltier

Tasty foods and great views over the museum and Tacoma

Good food for a restaurant in a museum.

Chris Faux

Excellent food, if a bit expensive (worth the cost though).

Got a coffee to go but saw a sign upon exiting the area that prohibits food or drink outside the area. Pretentious snobs and mainly a tourist trap.

Got the roasted salt and pepper chicken wings, one of he best I've had!

Small bite of the roasted salt and pepper chicken wings. It was fantastic! Very satisfying after the tour of the museum.

Good place to eat and relax after walking four floors and looking at American cars. Located above the gift shop, they offer 'classic' foods - salads, burgers, and sandwiches. We ordered the mushroom swiss burger ($13) which comes with fries. We upgraded our fries to 'dirty fries' for an additional fee. We also ordered the steak salad. Both dishes were really good. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. I tried to dine here, really wanted to dine here because the food smelled and looked amazing. However, dining never happened because of the following: It was Father's Day! It was very busy. You have to go upstairs to get to the cafe which overlooks the main floor of the museum; which seemed pretty cool. You also could only go up one staircase, the other was labeled with a sign "exit". There is an elevator. However, the elevator is directly where the entrance to the museum is after you pay and smack dab in the middle of that is the gift shop customer service kiosk; so it is a tight spot! When we went up the stairs the first time every table was full, but there was no one to greet us. We saw 3 staff members staring back at us, but there were not directions on what to do or where to go or anything. So we waited for about a minute. Since we were ignored and thought they were just too busy to acknowledge us, we thought we would venture back down and gander at cars some more. Our stomachs were aching and that food did look and smelled so good! We decided to give it another go since we saw an empty table. We walked over to the empty table and then we got the bad attitude! A server rudely said, "That table is taken. There's a line, it's over there" By "over there" she meant back behind everything where no one could see there were people waiting by the elevator to be seated. Again, no signage, no hostess or polite server informing us of this before we were embarrassed by this staff member. The server then continued and said, "There's a sign!" We did not see a sign at all and a lady who was already seated and enjoying her meal informed the waitress that yes, indeed no sign because it fell down. Still, no apology from the rude waitress, instead she went over, picked up the sign, held it up to show me and said with a smirk, "See! There is a sign!" I informed the other waitress who witnessed her behavior that her coworker was rude and I would like to speak to management. She looked like a dear in headlights and she didn't give a damn. The two went back to the kitchen and when they came out they just looked at me like nothing was going to happen. So we left. I guess the manager was in the kitchen? I guess that since it was busy, maybe he/she was the one cooking? I have no idea because no one used their customer service skills. I informed the museum staff of what happened and while they did apologized for the mishap, they informed me that Classics is a contracted vendor and they cannot control the behavior of Classic's staff. It was really too bad that this happened. It was Father's Day, we really wanted to enjoy a meal here and while I can understand that maybe the staff was having a hard/busy day; I cannot understand rude belittlement from staff member to customer. Classics, your food may look appetizing, but your servers lack respect and that's a "NOVA" in my book.

Gas station food. If this was a standalone restaurant and not attached to the museum, it would not be in business.

Tried to go here on 4/29 at 4pm, they close at 5pm. The person behind the counter said they were only serving the appetizers as they were closing down for the day and the grill was already cleaned. Very disappointed and we were suprised about a $5 parking fee. Will definitely not be going back.

Classics Cafe is one of the offshoot restaurants that the owners of the Pacific Grill have. The restaurant is upstairs from the front desk of the Lemay Car Museum. The food here is actually quite good! Some of the restaurants by the owners have been hit or miss for me on what I thought about the food but here I enjoyed it! I had fish tacos which were yummy and a Strawberry Italian Soda which I haven't had in ages which was quite good! Service seemed a bit slow but the waitress was very sweet. While you dine you can look off the balcony at look at the cars from the museum on the first floor and out the large windows to downtown Tacoma which is very pleasant!
