This is one of our favorite restaurants for breakfast or lunch, we are definitely regulars! The servers are so friendly and the atmosphere is so vibey. Gets busy on weekends around ~10 so you may need to wait but it’s so worth it. Part of the menu changes monthly to accommodate a new theme (right now is New Orleans) but our faves are always constant. We always get either the forager’s omelette or clean up on aisle 12 with chorizo. The pancakes are also great! Will definitely keep coming back ❤️

I had the Sunday special Family Fried Chicken. It was more than I could eat and delicious. The sever was prompt and checked with me regularly. The restaurant is well decorated and very clean. Overall an excellent experience!

We found this place while visiting my son at college. We had a great breakfast the first time. We went back tonight for dinner.
We arrived about 5:40 pm and asked for a table for three we were seated about 5:55 pm, not bad.
We ordered or food, a burger, chicken and a salade about 6:05 pm.
At 6:50 pm I got out my card to pay because we had run out of time for dinner. No one had come and told us what was taking over 30 minutes for the food.
The manger came over and said are you ready to pay? I responded, "we have not eaten but we are out of time we will need the food to go". He then checked and said they are boxing it up. Then our waitress came over took the card for payment and then went to check on the food to see how long it would take. The manger brought us our food to go at 6:58 pm. We had to ask for the food to go but we got no utensils, we asked and they brough them to us as we were leaving, and the manager said "if I knew you had to leave now I would not have charged you". He did not offer a refund on the $75 we paid.
We checked the food when we got to the car not 4 minutes after it was handed to us. The burger was cold as was the chicken.
We would not go here again because of the lack of service and communication for that price, along with an abnormal wait for food.

Every time I come here I am so thankful! The cocktails are so special and the staff is very attentive. I have always enjoyed my meal and appreciate the world tour of cuisine that changes each quarter of the year! The North End is so lucky to have Cooks Tavern and I can't wait to return!

I travel a lot for work and I am quite often disappointed with the meals that I get. That is never the case with cooks. Their food is always so good, so wholesome,so satisfying. And the prices are excellent. The staff are always friendly and I like the environment.
