The coffee is cheap and affordable and better than Starbucks or any other coffee place. The staff are friendly and supportive of any walk in life you may be on and they won't turn you away for just about anything. I would recommend if your a local to make this your number one coffee hole it's on 21st and commerce right next to the Harmon building and Campos pizza and brewing.Wheelchair accessibility: Wast access ramp cement and wide open shop

The coffee here was great! I ordered an espresso, which came with sparkling water. I haven't seen that around too much and I really appreciated it! I also ordered a chai - it was tasty and not too sweet. Plenty of seating and lots of places for groups, as well as some board games you could pick up and play. I appreciated how the barista i spoke to was really informed on the coffee and roastery. The merch was so cute too. Their logo is what caught my eye driving by in the first place, I thought it was so cute. The only issue I had was parking - there was plenty available on the next block up in the early morning, but walking down that steep hill made me a bit nervous with the stroller! All in all, I think i'll be visiting again and definitely purchasing some beans next time.

Was visiting for a concert and we came here for coffee twice. The baristas were friendly and made delicious coffee! Best I've had in a while. I only wish they were closer, I'd come here every day.

Really cute and hip place all at the same time, in downtown Tacoma. Easy to find. Plenty of space to sit, chat, study.

Tried the matcha latte, unsweetened. Was offered to sweeten it. It was very good. Atmosphere was calm and easy to do work in with the person I met up. Lots of people came and went. Parking is down the road. Can drop off near the front door if need for disability. Then will have to park down the way and walk a little bit.

i was staying at a nearby hotel and couldn’t handle another cup of their coffee so i decided to venture out and give dancing goats a try. so glad i did, they have a pleasant atmosphere, plenty of seating, friendly staff, and my latte was made to perfection.

This coffee is SO GOOD!!! I have a background in the coffee industry and have struggled to find high quality, locally roasted beans that are turned into beautifully well-balanced shots and beverages. This is the place!! They also have an above average and large variety of nosh with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Baristas are patient, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to interact with. Atmosphere is clean, calm, and roomy. Service was excellent!!Vegetarian options: I had a delicious vegetarian breakfast burrito! There is also oatmeal, salad, breakfast sandwiches with meat substitute, and more!

The "Rootdown" is my go to drink - a pleasant blend of Virgil's Rootbeer with espresso. Staff is always friendly and great location next to UW Tacoma. Seating inside is ample and Adirondack chairs outside. Love this place!

I was picking up a friend at the train station and stopped here to pass the time and get coffee. I got a pistachio latte and a lemon blueberry scone. The pistachio latte seemed to be missing all of the pistachio flavor, and the scone was more like a flattened muffin. And not even like a muffin top that's been baked in a muffin top pan. Just like a whole muffin that got smashed after it came out of the oven. The space inside seemed comfortable enough though. I can see why students might go there to work. However, I am not a student and I likely won't be going back there.

Cute spot that’s central to a lot of things in Downtown Tacoma. Giving this place a little lower rating due to the lack of outlets that actually work, shoddy wifi, overpriced drinks, and poor customer service. Just know if you come here, the baristas act “too cool” to actually help customers, and if you need to work remotely, this is not the place for you due to the wifi and lack of outlets/table space. On the other hand, this is a great place to meet friends for chit chats and/or an afternoon pick me up. Just plan accordingly! ?
