I wouldn’t write home about the food or the service (average bar food) however be careful where you park. Car prowlers and low life’s everywhere. Our truck window was smashed out and our truck was ransacked in the less than two hours we spent there on a Thursday. Maybe hire a parking lot attendant instead of “not our problem, too bad” Welcome to Dawson’s on South Tacoma Way.

I've been going to this establishment for a couple of years now each time I received immaculate service expect for 10/4 while one of the lovely bartenders let me charge my phone at the bar I wa greeted with Racism and a bully who calls himself the OWNER he called me names and when I stuck of for myself I was dismissed with more Racism and bullying he even came to the bar and unplugged my phone when all was trying to do was charge my phone to get a ride. The OWNER could have approached the situation more delicately but choose bullying and Racism please be aware our kind is not wanted there the OWNER made that very clear

First time at this location & I don't know nightlife much, so I don't have much of a frame of reference. So, with the help of a person who has gone out to bars here is my review!
This bar has an old school feel. It's not a dive bar, but the prices are like dive bar prices. A pint is like $6-$7 - that's not bad! So it doesn't seem like they over charge.
I didn't try any food.
The bartenders were fast & nice!
We went there for Harmonious Funk, which is an awesome band!
There is a lot of seating inside & also had a patio outside, but the place was packed!
The crowd is a little older (50+) but it was still diverse. I appreciated the laid back, chill vibe!
Parking can be hard as it's street parking, but there's a Grocery Outlet a minute away, which probably closes at 8, so you should be able to park there.

This is the one go too place in Tacoma for a great time...
Came in tonight with a group and we were all over the place. Our server was patient and accommodating. Food was incredible. Can’t wait to go back for more memory making!
