First time at this location & I don't know nightlife much, so I don't have much of a frame of reference. So, with the help of a person who has gone out to bars here is my review!

This bar has an old school feel. It's not a dive bar, but the prices are like dive bar prices. A pint is like $6-$7 - that's not bad! So it doesn't seem like they over charge.

I didn't try any food.

This place gives me rock n roll and biker vibes. They have a large bar with ample seating and a large stage. The staff are friendly and they make the drinks quite strong.. they also have a breathalyzer test to see if you are under the .08 limit before leaving.

I went to Dawson's as part of a scheduled "Guerilla Bar" event on a Sunday. It's in a very cool part of town with lots of other shops, restaurants and taverns. I really liked Dawson's outdoor area on the sidewalk and garage doors that open up into the place. Lots of people. Great service and food. You can tell they have a loyal following.
