We were there yesterday and the experienced we had was the worst experience ever! Nurses the doctor are not compassionate. They do not listen and tend to the patient’s care and needs. My husband was in excruciating pain and they couldn’t care less and he was dying in so much pain! I’m not sure which will make you more upset? Them ignoring us or hearing them chatty and laughing knowing they’re around people who are sick and in so much pain. They can tell and see patient is in so much pain…so obviously doctor need to reassess pain meds he gave helped but only for short while. Why not find out which medication will help him longer term right?! But instead we were ignored!!!! You ask another nurse they’ll say “I don’t know….im not your nurse!” Come to find to find out the nurse attending to us went to lunch!! Do t tell me they that they don’t help each other out when the other one is on break?! C’mon!!!! My husband was supposed to be admitted. But after being ignored we decided to go elsewhere. He feels he’ll die in that hospital and they’ll that just let him be in excruciating pain!!!! Whoever is the CEO and director’s of that hospital needs to look into their ER and do something about the care that they do in their ER!!!!

So Joseph has a parking garage that says 4 hour parking levels 1-4. More than 4 above level 4. The line at level 5 says staff parking only, so I parked 3 spots away from the yellow line that marks the separation of employee parking and visitor parking. There is no way to follow the directions on the signs because they conflict. No matter where you park they can apparently ticket and tow your car. This is the last thing you need when you have a family member admitted to the hospital.

Terrible experience. On ward is the worst. Almost killed a set of twins because they can’t take two minutes to do their jobs

Your nursing staff is horrible I do not recommend this hospital for anyone the way you treated a stroke victim who can’t move there right side and to get an attitude over it it absolutely disgusting behavior

I was told by mt Dr's nurse to go over to St Joseph- ER on 19th St, Tacoma Wa, because when on phone with Nurse" I took my blood pressure twice, it was very high? from the time I arrived rude" I have health problems one of which is Emphysema, they took my blood pressure 177/ , I said thank you to every person I had contact with"" not one response at all??it would seem they pick and choose who and how they treat patients..

I recommend every Department I have dealt with in St. Joseph Medical Center, I truly believe they have the best staff a person could ever ask for. I myself had surgery there yesterday to have a stent over my Iliac artery. The whole procedure went perfect in my opinion. From Admissions, Prep Nurses, Anesthesiologist, Care Nurses and Best of all My Surgeon Dr.Vu. and his assistant from Australia. Even while walking around outside or inside the building , All Staff will approach you if you look like your lost and point you in the right direction. And not to forget my PCP Dr. Tsai and all Nurses and staff working with him, Very thorough at finding anything that could possibly be wrong with me and referring me to the best of Specialists, that make it right, I could never say enough about how perfect my personal experiences have been. I give them all 5 Stars and would make higher if there was a higher rating. Martin Olson from Tacoma, WA

short staffed, food is not tailored to patients dietary needs. you literally get what you get no choices. it appears this hospital is starting to collapse

I gave cashier 20 she said it was only 10. I know what I had my daughter had given me 3 20s night before all I had. I asked her to count drawer I work there so I went back thinking it was all okay. She came and told me it was short

This Deli is one of the 2 places you can get food in this hospital. The coffee in the cafeteria downstairs is better tasting but both great quality coffee. The pizzas cost more then what they should with the portion you recieve but it is really good pizza. Their sandwiches aren't bad either. The people who work here are very quiet and just look super tired all the time. Not bad for being in a hospital.
