Great food and great service - Duke's never disappoints! Enjoyed celebrating my birthday there!
An absolute wonderful dinner experience. Emily, who was our server, was beyond exceptional. The food was amazing. I can't wait to go back.
We were out for Sunday lunch with our elderly mother, we chose Dukes because seafood is her favorite dish. Our server was Lily and she was ok, she left us hanging several times when she said she'd be right back with more water- I guess that's a relative term because it always took long. The music was loud and I did ask if it were possible to lower the volume but that didn't happen. Music should be in the background only not so loud that it's difficult to carry on a conversation especially at lunch time. The food however was amazing- halibut delicious along with the spinach salad!
Every Duke's location is special, but the Tacoma Ruston Way restaurant looks out on Commencement Bay which puts it in a category all its own! Add an incredible menu, delicious food, and an attentive staff, and it's the perfect place to celebrate in any season for any reason.
The best Clam Chowder ever! Crab cakes are amazing. Best crab cakes I have ever had! Beautiful view of the bay on Ruston Way!
Dukes has always been a family favorite. While I love the food and the scenery, I do think the prices are outrageous. Geared more toward the ritzy glamorous class of people. I think even the not so fortunate should be able to experience the taste of elegance. So the price should reflect. Just a thought. We had the stuffed prawns, they were small this time around and the potatoes were over cooked. Other than that it was a beautiful day.
Hadn't been to this edition of Duke's before, but it's a winner. Great view, feels like Duke's should. Enjoyed all the staples we normally like.
It is our yearly reunion. We love meeting there and enjoying the view, sea life and excellent service.
As always, Dukes was great! I had one of the specials...the crab/lobster cakes. They were fantastic and accompanied by perfectly cooked snap peas. We also had cocktails and wine...both excellent!
Great place for seafood. Parts of the restaurant have great view. Love that they had the game on when in the back part of the restaurant. Service was great as usual! Lots of choices. Must try the chowder

Dawn took great care of us and was very attentive. We appreciate the great food and great service.
The food was amazing and our service was as well! I will highly recommend Dukes to all of my friends!
Over all the food was good. Some dishes better than others. The chowders and that Caesar salad really shined! Pasta dishes need flavor in our opinion. We were all having a lovely time celebrating my husband's birthday, enjoying the view, and lovely drinks. But when I went to cash out the server told me how to tip etc. It left me feeling that I didn't want to come back. She seemed upset that it was split between me and another family member. Part cash and part card with no change back and I was going to do the tip on my card. Since she seemed disappointed I wasn't giving her a 35% tip she decided she needed to point out how much I should tip. That is never okay. Our server was decent but nothing about the experience was memorable except our excellent expo gal and the gentleman who was our hostess! This was our first time there and while we want to go back I just don't feel it's appropriate to tell your customers what to tip and how to tip!
We had reservations and were sat promptly. Server was knowledgeable, excellent food & service!
The food was outstanding. Our waitress was phenomenal pointed us in the right direction. Food was great. My wife had steak and I had.Halibut . The star of the show was really the location in view and the clam chowder.
