Fantastic, personal, genuine server. Very happy with our food, wine, everything except this is one of the pricier seafood restaurants around, so we just can't justify coming often.

Service was a bit rushed—it seemed like the focus was rapid on turnover more than a fine dining experience. Food was overall good but pricey.

My two companions were celebrating their birthdays and both had the lobster chowder, which they loved, and the fish and chips. I had the rockfish tacos, which were fabulous! They were larger than expected, but I managed to finish two. Great service too.

Celebrating my 60th with dinner at Duke's was nice. My neice and her 3 year old enjoyed the experience of a waterfront dinner. Caden(?) Made us feel welcome and special with recommendations and service.

Server Kate is a standout. Salmon with ginger glaze balsamic reduction excellent. Good fish and chips and cioppino style northwest seafood soup though a bit pricey.

Front door experience was slow. Service was good, food was okay but wildly over priced. I personally am used to this type of pricing as I live up north but the pricing doesn't match the overall value that's received. Would love to see this place consider remodeling their interior and elevating different aspects of the dining experience if they are going to be charging higher pricing.

Second time here and the food is excellent. Great views of the waterfront and excellent atmosphere. We will be back! Try the soup sampler. Their chowder combo is great.

An absolute wonderful dinner experience. Emily, who was our server, was beyond exceptional. The food was amazing. I can't wait to go back.

We were out for Sunday lunch with our elderly mother, we chose Dukes because seafood is her favorite dish. Our server was Lily and she was ok, she left us hanging several times when she said she'd be right back with more water- I guess that's a relative term because it always took long. The music was loud and I did ask if it were possible to lower the volume but that didn't happen. Music should be in the background only not so loud that it's difficult to carry on a conversation especially at lunch time. The food however was amazing- halibut delicious along with the spinach salad!

Every Duke's location is special, but the Tacoma Ruston Way restaurant looks out on Commencement Bay which puts it in a category all its own! Add an incredible menu, delicious food, and an attentive staff, and it's the perfect place to celebrate in any season for any reason.

The best Clam Chowder ever! Crab cakes are amazing. Best crab cakes I have ever had! Beautiful view of the bay on Ruston Way!

Dukes has always been a family favorite. While I love the food and the scenery, I do think the prices are outrageous. Geared more toward the ritzy glamorous class of people. I think even the not so fortunate should be able to experience the taste of elegance. So the price should reflect. Just a thought. We had the stuffed prawns, they were small this time around and the potatoes were over cooked. Other than that it was a beautiful day.

Hadn't been to this edition of Duke's before, but it's a winner. Great view, feels like Duke's should. Enjoyed all the staples we normally like.

Stopped by on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm and were seated at a table inside looking over the waterfront. Started with the Maple bacon seafood bites appetizer which was quite tasty and served hot in a delicious sauce. The fish and chips were served hot and crispy but the breaded fish was a bit lacking in flavor - the fries were tasty and the cole slaw was fresh. The two Rockfish Tacos were quite filling leading me to wish that I had only ordered one. The taco shells were deep-fried crispy and tasty. For desert, ordered the Carefully Selected Local Ice Cream which was very rich, tasty and creamy; however, we should have split one order (two scoops) rather than taking one order each which was a bit much. Although pricey, the food served at Dukes is fresh, tasty and delicious. We will be back.
