I've been to this store 3 times and will not be back. I couldn't figure out why my drink taste different than the other locations. After watching it be made the amount of ice put in is INSANE.....basically watering down each drink. We ordered 3 each time. So if you want what your paying for go elsewhere.

Horrible customer service. Every time I’ve came into this emerald there are completely different girls working. Most of the girls are very sweet but the rest are horrible at customer service and don’t know how to make smoothies right.

Ordered a Tropical Paradise at this Emerald City Smoothie around 1:20pm 6/24/24. The lady who processed my order had a rather annoyed and disinterested look and energy coming from her. While I can overlook such poor customer service, the smoothie I got is what prompted me to leave this review. The smoothie I got did not have the consistency of a "smoothie" and it had a strange "chemically" taste. I only took a few sips before I decided to pull over and throw it away at a gas station. I've ordered this smoothie before so I know what it's supposed to taste like. If that staff is too lazy to make a proper smoothie then maybe she needs to find another job. I'm never coming to this location ever again.

Absolutely terrible and unhealthy my wife and I went to get a smoothie and they used ZERO real fruit! It was nothing but fake flavored syrup and protein powder! Not sure what’s going on but they use to have real fruit! I hope no one goes here until they use real fruit again!
This is my favorite Emerald City Smoothie. I actually live closer to the Pac Ave location, but every time I’ve been there, they’re extra rude so… Yeah I drive to the 38th location, and no matter who is working the smoothies taste the same, and their customer service is the always the same, the same being excellent every time. 10/10 recommend this ECS if you’re in the Tacoma area.

There’s a few young ladies at this location who really bring in a welcome , they greet you take your order with a hyped attitude, very pleased but most of the crew here either has attitude, shows they don’t want to be there nor care about your drinks or they simply just single word you the entire way. My main issue tho is that when it comes to the add ons I wanna say most of the drinks don’t come out tasting like they have that additional add on , some add ons you can taste right away is why I feel it’s not surprising you know bad attitude bad service they probably ain’t putting the add ons either , hopefully not
