My sister and I stopped by for dinner on our way to the local museums on Thursday, January 19th. Although we were there at peak dinner time (5:00 pm), we were the only customers in the whole restaurant. (That should have been a hint.) This used to be one of my fave hangout and eatery spots when I attended the University of Washington Tacoma. My fellow students and I hung out there a lot, and the food used to be awesome! I have not been here, however, since before the Pandemic. Wow! Such a disappointment. First off, the menu has been pared WAY down. I asked our waiter about this, and he stated the restaurant was under new ownership. My sister and I both ordered the Harmon cheeseburger. My cheeseburger was almost raw in the middle, cold, and topped with plain old American cheese. The fries were the same type as one gets at McDonald's, although McDonald's fries are usually hot. These were stone cold, and flavorless. I would have been better off to just go to McDonald's where I could have gotten the same meal for less than the $15 I spent at The Harmon. It's so sad to see what used to to be a vibrant, fun, downtown Tacoma hotspot that had GREAT pub food turn into this shell of its former self. I would highly recommend that you avoid wasting your money here for a meal that is barely edible. I won't be going back!

Out with the old, in with the new! Since changing chefs, Harmon has gone into a much better direction. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich which seems pricey until the food arrives and they basically give you an entire chicken. It was simple, classic, no frills, just a delicious and well-made sandwich. Happy to see the Harmon return to form!

This is my favorite spot in Tacoma! The food is super tasty, the staff is friendly, and I love that they have pool tables. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and have enjoyed it all! I added a picture of the vegan burger I had for lunch today, definitely give it a try.Vegetarian options: Best vegan burger I’ve ever had.Kid-friendliness: I see kids running around here all the time, they seem to have a lot of fun dancing to the music!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, plenty of space at all the tables.

This place is atrocious. They warned us when we walked in that service was slow tonight due to kitchen issues. That's understandable, and we appreciated the heads up. What we didn't expect was an inattentive server who kept passing by our table, brought our appetizer after we had already eaten, and served another table that had arrived 10 or 15 minutes AFTER us, 10 or 15 minutes BEFORE us! It makes for a very uncomfortable dining experience when it starts to appear that the server is deliberately giving you horrible service. The food was VERY disappointing. The burger was described as juice Lucy style on the menu but didn't arrive that way... Not the end of the world, but it was also dry and under seasoned. The pretzel tasted like a reheated frozen pretzel and the beer cheese had the texture of polenta, and was also under seasoned. We were hopeful because this place was great in the past. But something has changed, so it'll have to be a last choice from now on.

I used to love this place back in the day, but I understand that it has new owners. They no longer brew their own beer and the food is greasy and unappetizing. My fried chicken sandwich had an unpleasant taste of burned flour (I had to peel off all the breading to eat it). The servers were all polite and hard-working but seemed all too used to customers complaining about the poor quality of food. This place needs some new management.

Avoid this place at all costs. Food is horrible and let's not talk about the bums and fact the woman's bathroom is unsafe.

Food was good, but our server was sloppy drunk. I've never had an experience like this before. As I was walking in she was talking to someone else and immediately involved me in the conversation rather than finishing and greeting me. She flitted from table to table close talking about random stuff unrelated to the situation in snippets so no one had any idea what she was referring to. We all just nodded and smiled. She struggled with the technology to order our food as though she had trouble focusing. When she brought our food she spilled it on my mom and the floor and didn't bother to wipe the ketchup off the table or clean the floor. Then when she took our payment she knocked over the salt and pepper shakers. I'm all for informal conversation and friendliness (especially at a brewery), but I'm honestly worried about this woman. If you can't work sober (or at least hold yourself together) you have a drinking problem.

Harmon was a lot of fun! It was pretty empty when we arrived, but started to fill up as our meal progressed. Our server was the bartender, I believe she said her name was Crystal or Chrissy? She was super sweet and a delight. We will definitely be back when we are in the area. Love their seasonal Lemon Drop and that bacon & spinach dip is wonderful!

We had food delivered to 7 Seas, last week was terrific. Today, not so great. Fish tacos very fragrant, which is never good. Our burger was forgotten and when did receive, luke warm and fries were limp and cold. I asked for vinaigrette for the beet salad, nope, didn't get. No apologies and no credit for making us wait an hour for entire order. Needless to say, last time we order. Bummer,

The food was amazing everything was pretty good other than the customer service took a little bit to get back to us for orders at the time staff was low for the kitchen. Other than that the experience was amazing always love going to this place drinks are great. they have live performers on Thursdays I believe. 4 out of 5

Thank you so much Steven and Candace!!! We had the best time, you guys are so busy and still made the time to make us feel welcome and special. Also hands down wins the chicken sandwich game and I’ve never had a better old fashioned. Our first time in and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to all my fellow foodies who enjoy a friendly pub.

I worked at The Harmon. On my first day the other staff told me they don't care about customers. I didn't realize to what extent this was true. From a men's restroom that was the most filthy bathroom I've ever seen in all my life to the cooks not being able to make an appetizer for an hour after being ordered with hardly any customers in the restaurant. I personally do care about if customers have a good experience or not and if their food is burned or not or if they have to wait over an hour for an appetizer. I have never seen a group of lazier people in my life who take absolutely zero pride in the work they do and have no work ethic what so ever. One of the main cooks shows up to work looking so dirty with his gross unshaven face and his dirty hair all over the place yet he fancys himself a ladies man and spends all night repulsing the women sitting at the bar as opposed to cooking any actual food. I would like to add one plus is most of the food is actually pretty good if you can get it unburned and in less than an hour. I would steer far away from this place DINE AT UR OWN RISK!!

What has happened to this place? It use to be so awesome. You could get cask ale and a mountain of the best nachos anywhere. They had steak and garlic fries night and all you can eat fish and chips night. Now it’s dirty the food is not only basic but the menu makes no sense and service sucked, even when the place was empty. Please fix this landmark. We are loosing too many iconic places. I would hate this place to disappear like the Swiss. Get it together please.

Even though the Harmon Building was built in 1909 and The Harmon Restaurant was eatablished in 1997 I had never stopped in. Well, I am so happy I finally did. This Restaurant and Bar is a hidden. Gem. The vintage charm is really an awesome sight to look around while you dine on one of their fabulous menu items or drink some suds from their large section of draft beers. The service was fast and friendly . Our server was so attentive to our needs it was like she knew what we wanted before we even knew what we wanted. I will most definitely be going back and think I may make this place my new spot to be refered to as a " regular"
