Waitress; fabulous. Food; delicious and filling (maybe over filling but too good to stop eating!) home style diner type of ambiance. We just moved to Tacoma and were searching online for new places to eat. This is definitely going to be a new joint for us!!For those who didn't like the meals they got, maybe try something else next time? Or stay home with your microwave meals!10/10

We were 4 for breakfast/lunch. We decided to go there because of information about the best Tacoma breakfast locations. 2 people had breakfast , farmers' omelet, and eggs Benedict. The farmers' omelet was good served with hashbrowns and an english muffin. The eggs Benedict had a very different hollandaise sauce. The person that had that dish said she couldn't identify the taste of the sauce. Reading the menu now, I see that is made with Dijon, Holly & dill that made it very orange with "different flavor." My wife had a Cobb salad. It had lots of flavorful chicken with a good ranch dressing. The salad was a "nice medium" size salad. I had a chicken bacon sandwich on a hoagie roll. I enjoyed the sandwich, and it was large on a 6 or 8 inch roll. The fries were crinkle cut and were good, but they were pretty short likely made from small potatoes. The server was very good, friendly, and checked in frequently as we waited over 30 minutes for our food. That was our one big negative, how long it took to get our food. While the food was good, we probably will not visit again

Denny's type restaurant but better! I ordered a cinnamon roll (don't get that) it was like they defrosted it in the microwave. However our server u understood and served me crepes (they were amazing). She also discounted or meal. We will definitely come back here!

So as far as downtown Tacoma restaurants are concerned this one was the only one of four that I went to this morning that did not tell me that it would be at least a 45 minute wait, or that I should have made a reservation. Now mind you this was for lunch on a Saturday! One restaurant even told me that I should have made a reservation 3 days in advance for lunch! The Harvester Restaurant seated me right away. And, that's where the good reviews ends. After being seated and ordering right away, I waited 45 minutes for pancakes and my wife got scrambled eggs. The pancakes were hard and the eggs were overcooked. After the meal I went to wash my hands and that is where the real problems showed themselves. If you truly want to have the quality of a restaurant, take a look at their restrooms.Don't worry I took photos for you so you don't have to have the same experience as I had! At the very least, if you have to go to the Harvester Restaurant, skip the restroom.

Eggs Benedict CubanoAnd the Chickens and Waffles were so good. Best hashbrowns I've had in years.

I had the Marionberry pancake. It was delicious. I had freshly squeezed orange juice with sausage and eggs. The eggs taste fresh. I ate some of it. It looked really yummy

Service was good. The food was terrible....had the eggs Benedict, it's not that hard to make good eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce was more like a gravy and didn't taste like hollandaise at all! I can honestly say this has been the worst food I've had since moving to Tacoma.

Wait staff hard working and friendly, food ... meh. I ordered the harvester meat breakfast with wrecked hash browns upgrade and Lu ordered the eggs Benedict. Lu thinks they mixed up our orders because some one wrecked her Benny with a hollandaise sauce that was more of a clotted gravy. My b'fast was completely underwhelming none of the items seemed fresh or particularly special or anything I couldn't find in the freezer section of Grocery Outlet. Lu never wants to come here again.

We were in town for the morning and decided to eat here for brunch. The waitress working was so awesome. She kept our coffee cups full and was very attentive. The food was delicious. Definitely recommend stopping by here when you’re in the area.

This was a pretty random find on my latest Tacoma outing. We were in the area, I knew Art House was going to be packed, so we just kinda ended up here. Plenty of free tables when we walked in and they were taking names?? I inquired about wait times and was told that she just got there and didn't know - fair enough, she's working on finding her flow. We were told to sit anywhere in a section soon after, so that was nice. Very, very slow service overall. From water, to food, to drinks. One of those places I ask for the check and a box early on so I have everything and can actually leave when I'm ready. Décor is very funky, which is always fun. I wouldn't do a white glove test in this place simply because I really, really don't want to know what I'd find. I didn't receive a drink menu, so I'm not 100% clear on the alcohol situation, but they had mimosas, so I can at least get my brunch on. They also had a vegan scramble, which was actually quite good. I definitely wish it were hotter though. They weren't even close to busy, the food took forever, and somehow it's still just warm. How does that even happen? To add on to this interesting outing, I believe this is the first time in my life I've added salt to a restaurant dish. It needed it so, so bad. The leftovers I had were great! All it really needed was some heat and S&P - simple and delicious. Would I come back here? Highly unlikely.

Review written after one visit - waitress was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was pleasant, old world character. Not many patrons, compared with nearby restaurants on a late morning Saturday, understandably, because there are issues with the food. The initial prime disappointment was the coffee, bitter and acidic, gas station coffee at best. Had the "Natural Omelette " - the veggies inside were seriously overcooked and greasy, the real cuisine-buster, though, was the semi-liquid processed cheese in and on top. Really rather unpleasant and a poor choice of ingredients to reduce costs. Toast was the generic grocery-store variety.., bland and forgettable. They had no fruit available on the day I was there. Ingredients and kitchen finesse are sorely needed here ... most diners at today's prices want more for their money than just a plate of calories.

I ordered the Monte Challah and it was delicious. Extremely large and enough for 2!! I asked for extra crispy hashbrowns and they were perfect! Did not need them however as the Monte Challah is HUGE. Bring an appetite!
