I stopped by and had a great chili dog at Hot Rod Dog. The owner was super nice, too, and I learned this place has been around for 20 years! So surely it has lasted for good reason.

I was very pleased to find a place on the west Coast that actually served authentic German brats. Wonderful service and the food was amazing.Anyone looking for a great hotdog and sausage definitely need to make a stop here.

My friend and I came here to grab a quick bite. I definitely enjoyed the hot dog I got the Bratwurst from Germany. I loved it for sure there’s a condiment stand where you can add the condiments to your own liking. I will be coming back for sure. The owner is outgoing, easy to talk to and super friendly I loved chatting with him!

This is a wonderful little hot dog stand in amongst stores near the Glass Bridge. My husband got the regular hot dog, and I got the German Bratwurst. Both were delicious with really soft buns that held the hot dogs and toppings well.The owner was very friendly, and we got to chat a bit with him.I will definitely visit again.
Parking: Parking in front was not busy. Not too many handicapped parking spots. We went in late fall when it typically isn't busy.
Wheelchair accessibility: We did have handicapped parking, and the stores are wheelchair accessible.

Shannon and I went here earlier today- Oct 31, 2023 -- before driving around Tacoma for a while. The owner was very friendly and provided very good hot dogs and outstanding customer service in a relaxed atmosphere. It was simple yet high quality food in our opinion. I had a beef hot dog and Shannon had a German bratwurst. There were lots of items with which to top our hotdogs. This is a small local business run by a friendly gentleman who works hard to make it work. We will definitely return.P.S. Happy early birthday to the owner (didn't catch your name). ?

Excellent grub, simple and inexpensive. The condiment bar includes most everything you might need to dress your dog. Based on previous reviews, I tried the Krainer, and it was very good. For a decadent dig, be sure to include cream cheese. Also, leave a few extra minutes, the owner is super friendly and enjoys a chat.
