The food was great, cool atmosphere and prices were excellent but unfortunately was not super impressed with the staff. We felt like we were annoying them by being in the restaurant.
Open table offered an 8:45 reservation time. Apparently the restaurant closes at 9, which we didn't know. We hit some snags on the way so we were 10 min late, and the host borderline rolled his eyes at us when we walked in and said we were late for our reservation. He sat us without saying a word. Then as he went to seat us, a waitress mouthed “not me!” (As in don't put them in my section) to the host. I was confused since the dining room as busy....We would have rather been turned away than treated like a last min burden. As we became aware they were closed and everyone was leaving, we decided to go ahead and get boxes and the check as we did feel bad about being late. Maybe don't offer these late slots as most places have a 10 min grace period, stuff happens. The food was amazing. the place as usual needs a serious clean up. Shredded curtains and dusty environment.
We had a 7pm reservation and were seated promptly. Host was nice, and service was great. Food was wonderful, flavorful, and portions were robust. server was attentive and polite. I was however disappointed that we were seated next to the window with a view of the busy street and random homeless people making weird gestures high on drugs. he left, however when we got up to use the bathroom I walked through a wonderful part of the establishment that had a pond and nice handcrafted wooden tables. I so much would have rather been seated there! Next time I'll ask to be seated in the nice part of the restaurant. I would eat here again for sure, We ordered the basil curry seafood and the mango fried rice. both very tasty.
Long waits for food- must be different owners since we were there pre covid. People next to is never got their food, asked for the drink bill and expressed displeasure with service and he still made them pay for 2 drinks😵💫. Was an elderly woman and daughter. They were seated way before us and we were well thru our meal and they still had nothing.
Wonderful meal! From the ambience and decorations to the food, all four of us (from age 8 to 83) had a great experience. High points were the spring rolls, empanadas, drunken noodles and orange chicken...finished off with some outstanding chocolate cake and gelato. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.
Absolutely wonderful. We had a group of 11 and the service was amazing and the food was incredible. I cannot wait to go back. The staff were helpful and just so kind. Loved it.
my husband and I enjoy coming here, great good, the atmosphere is amazing and the manager Makayla is on point! She creates delicious and beautiful cocktails as well. definitely recommend for a romantic night out.
Awesome food. Wonderful atmosphere. Our waitress was very bubbly and did an excellent job. Owner even stopped by the table to make sure our experience was good. Highly recommend them.
It had been many years since we had dined here. I'm glad we returned. The food and service were excellent! Everything we ordered was prepared perfectly. The portions were large and filling. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and atmosphere. We will definitely return soon!
The food is fabulous! Cocktails are interesting, tasty, and beautifully put together. Atmosphere and ambiance are calming, especially sitting next to the fountain/pool. Customer service was great as well. We really enjoy eating here.

Unfortunately I feel like Indochine has fallen a long ways from years past. The menu is a shadow of what it once was, presumably to cut costs. Prices are what you'd expect, with most dinners being between $17-$25 give or take. The service was lackluster, however what I assume was the manager did a good job trying to make up for what her servers lacked. It was odd seeing servers dressed in random attire from crop tops, to jeans, to random T-shirts. Our server was friendly but hardly checked on us and we were left waiting after our meal for quite some time until my 5 year old daughter caught his attention by waving at him. The food for the most part was good, and my wife enjoyed her seafood and black rice dinner, however the drunken noodles were average, as were the potstickers and fresh spring rolls. I was surprised that the menu didn't seem to have any Thai soups which are usually incredibly popular dishes like Tom Yum or Tom Kha Gai. The mango fried rice was meh. Overall, the ambiance was good, service was meh, and might be okay for a date night, maybe, but if youre looking for really good Thai food, maybe try somewhere else.
Indochine was once a hidden gem, celebrated for its deliciously authentic Thai food, carefully prepared with rich flavors and fresh ingredients. The restaurant was a go-to spot for anyone seeking a flavorful, satisfying meal in a setting as stunning as its food. The ornate, beautifully designed building still exudes charm, making it a feast for the eyes with its intricate detailing and elegant ambiance. However, it's clear that the food has lost its former luster. While the atmosphere remains inviting, the dishes no longer carry the vibrant, well-balanced flavors that once made Indochine a standout. Ingredients don't seem as fresh, and the attention to detail in preparation seems to have declined, leading to a dining experience that feels underwhelming compared to what it used to be. It's a shame that such a beautiful space no longer matches the culinary quality it was once known for. Indochine still offers a pleasant environment for a meal, but unfortunately, the food is no longer the highlight it used to be. For those who remember its former glory, it's hard not to feel disappointed.
The pictures I have don’t do it justice! The inside is fun with a small pond and water feature. The tables are largely open with no backs making for a truly unique dining experience. The service was quick and polite. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend the drunken noodles, Panang curry, and the orange chicken. All were amazing and cooked to perfection. The lychee martini is must try if you’re doing drinks as well!

I recently visited **Indochine** in Tacoma, and as someone who moved from a country where restaurant service is at a very high level, I tend to be quite critical of establishments here in the U.S. However, I also understand that service standards vary, and you can't impose your own expectations when local customs are different. If people in America enjoy this level of service, then that’s the norm here. That said, I still have high standards, and I have to say, Indochine is one of the few places that genuinely deserves the 5 stars I'm giving it.
One thing that stood out to me was how promptly the waitstaff cleared our table — they didn’t wait for the plates to pile up, which is rare in many places I’ve visited here. We ordered **empanadas** as a starter, and they were juicy, flavorful, and perfectly hot — both my husband and I loved them. He had beef with mushrooms and rice, a very hearty dish that left him satisfied, and I enjoyed the tuna sashimi with a fresh salad of vegetables and pineapple. The food was a pleasant surprise.
Another lovely touch was the **live flowers** on the table. I always notice those small details, and it added a fresh, welcoming vibe to the dining experience. Indochine really impressed me with both the quality of food and attention to detail.
