A jewel in our neighborhood , Indochine with its Asian interior decor, romantic atmosphere / dimly lit / comfortable space and a most gracious host & owner ,Mr. Sean. I was there for the 1st time approaching closing hours and ordered Mongolian beef, veggies on a bed of crispy noodles. Delicious and the heat reduced the crispy noodles towards meals end to get both crispy and smooth textures. Beef was tender and flavorful , a fine dish ! The menu hosts dishes from South East Asia including Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam & Myanamar ( Burma ) along with others . So many dishes I want to try over our remaining 4 & 1 / 2 weeks here. A definite return ! Thank you Sean for such wonderful hospitality and friendship, thanks to Indochine kitchen staff for a beautifully presented dish , delicious too ! I wish for your continued success as Tacoma West Ends fine food establishment !!!

Months ago I swore I would not return because they seemed to care more about Door Dash than customers in restaurant. They seemed to be better this time. Like the food!

We have always loved the Indochine restaurant in Federal way and Tacoma, and even on Peal street for the past 20 years. Last night was the wordt dinner we have ever had. They have changed their Summer Basil Salad recipe where the dressing did not even stick to the salad. Our House fried rice had no shrimp in it. Drunken Noodle dish was over cooked and the flavor was burnt. Maybe we picked a bad night on Pearl Street and we will not go there again.we were so sad to see the once upon restaurant that was absolutely delicious turn sour. Very sad!

The spicy basil chicken was delicious.

The staff here are genuinely nice, but the food is just okay, and the prices are WAY too high for what you get. The pad Thai, for example, costs around $20 here, whereas other places in the area charge closer to $13-14 for the same dish that has more portions. I really want to like this place since it’s nearby and convenient, but for these prices, I’d recommend trying somewhere else.

We absolutely love Indochine! Everything we've tried on the menu is great! Best Tom Kha ever. Burmese noodles and Pad Thai are fantastic. Garlic chicken is great. That spinach and peanut sauce dish is yummm.

Part of my family went for a nice night of appetizers and ended up ordering a full meal. We had Ginger Wings, Pad Thai, Toasted Sesame Wraps and Lemongrass Chicken. The prices seemed a bit higher than I expected, but the large portion size and quality of the food made it well worth it. The wings were the most flavor full crispy wings we ever had! I normally hate Pad Thai at most places, but the flavor and firmness of the noodles were perfect. The other dishes were great too. The server was very polite and attentive. The owner came over and we the sweetest person. I went through four glasses of water and they were always quick to refill it even though they were very busy for just two people serving. The decor is delightful too. Lots of wood carving to look at and even a cascading water glass fixture when you walk in. All our food was garnished well and looked delicious. We brought our very picky ten year old hoping he would like something we ordered. He loved everything! He even at the veggies and enjoyed them. Thank you so much for a great experience Indochine on Pearl!

Kid-friendliness: They were very nice to our son and quickly got him chopsticks when he asked for them.

Disappointing first time visit, won't go again. Prices higher than all other thai restaurants in Tacoma and on top of that i had to pay for rice extra $3.50. And the rice was the cheapest kind, not the long grain, and it was way overcooked and sticky. Then as i was eating my veggies i distinctly tasted mold. When i went to use the restroom i felt my shoes stick to the floor and make unpleasant sucking noises.

We had family in from out of town and decided to do a pick up order from Indochine. $90 got us about 12 small pieces of overcooked Mongolian beef (missing the crispy noodles), some weird cabbage dish we did not order and had zero flavor, decent pad Thai but with only maybe 3 pieces of chicken, and a passable pineapple fried rice. Very disappointing all around and a huge waste of money. The $20+ Mongolian beef plate especially, came in a palm sized box. Ordering is a mess, no notification of our food being ready so it was cold after sitting for who knows how long, no rice provided with the chicken and beef entrees, no ability to personalize spice levels so everything was bland with little to no flavoring at all. Will not be back.

I have had Indochine on Pearl's food in the past and it's been fine. Recently I went to get myself some Pad Thai and crab stuffed wontons. The wontons were amazing. The Pad Thai was fine. Lots of it. But just didn't seem special. There were barely any toppings, even peanuts seemed rationed. This is the closest place to my house but I am going to try other places. Need to taste some love in the food.
