I recently went to an AFRO-CARIBBEAN SUMMER BLOCK DAY PARTY SUN.JULY. 30TH 4-9 pm at Jazzy Cafe and had an amazing time. The energy was contagious and the staff were so cool and welcoming. The music was incredible, with two DJs playing the best Caribbean beats I've heard in Tacoma in a while. The drinks were spot on, and the bartender was super friendly and attentive to my requests. Unfortunately, the Jamaican food had already sold out by the time I was ready to try it. I was bummed to miss out on the Jerk chicken and meat pies that looked so yummy. But, I'm planning on going back to Jazzy Cafe for future events. It's the perfect place for a fun night out with your friends. The fact that there was security around made me feel so much better about the whole experience. The only downside was the Honey Buckets for restrooms, which is why I'm giving them four stars.

I WANTED to so badly like this place but I was super disappointed in everything from the most basic of common customer service courtesy (like greeting the entering customer, saying hi with a smile! Didn't get a smile or an acknowledgment of us much at all. My attempts at chitchat were rebuffed with literally zero response. This is a small local business within. 5 min from my house in a generally more warehouse type district with little coffee shops but I won't be returning here! I ordered a mango smoothie and a Red Bull cream spritzer with mango and strawberry. The mango smoothie tastes "funny" I can't put my finger on it but something is off with it. I heard her mention she was using soft serve to make it. I'm assuming she's talking about frozen yogurt, but something just doesn't taste as good as I normally get anywhere else. I also noticed they use really shitty store brands whipped cream and i guess a lot of coffee places I do that but I think a lot more of them are making their own whip cream at this point in coffee etiquette evolution! Ok so the WORST part was the Red Bull cream spritzer, which is normally my go to FAVE drink! At this point it had been prob 10 min since we arrived and the main barista did mention they were training today, but she seemed almost as unsure as the girl who she was training. They kept looking up the drinks in the binder instructing them. I've been a barista before so it's not like I don't have empathy. When you make a Red Bull spritzer that has cream in it, the order you add the ingredients is important or you end up with a curdled drink. Immediately after she handed me my drink I could tell. She had added the cream on top of my drink and it was already curdling when I stirred it it bloomed. I pointed this out to them and she said they would "try " to fix it. I mentioned I knew there was a certain order to do to avoid this but I couldn't recollect it. I was with my little boy so I joined him in the upstairs loft seating for another 6 min they re made my drink I heard the main one say "ok add the cream first." I looked up on my phone how to avoid this curdling with the Red Bull And cream and found: It basically says that The order is ice, RedBull, half and half, then flavor. If you pour the half and half directly on top of the ice cubes, it will coat them and freeze, giving the drink an unappealing texture. If you add flavor to the RedBull before you add cream, it will also not combine properly. Needless to say the second drink which wasn't even all the way full to the top, also curdled. I wish I could take my tip back but maybe I can save you a headache and $15.

Was a nice clean looking shop and the staff and owner were friendly. However I followed the sign from the street that claims best sandwich in tacoma which is completely false. The burgers we ordered ahead of time to take out were not ready when we showed up. After waiting for nearly 20 minutes. Pretty much my entire lunch break we got our food which was super disappointing. The fries were under cooked. The burgers are served on hard sandwich bread.

Stopped by while walking my dog. Store is tidy and clean with friendly staff and a casual vibe- love the outdoor seating options too! Staff were happy to see my dog and stepped outside to greet him which felt very welcoming.I ordered a white chocolate mocha frappe but they were all out of ice to make the drink. I appreciated the effort to find the missing ingredients that I saw staff make and the discount I ultimately received when they couldn’t find the ice to make the drink.Definitely going to come by again, but -1 star for being underprepared.

The WORST service EVER!!! Didn't even get a chance to try their food. The person working there was cleaning or doing something and just didn't great us even though we were they only people there and then didn't even bother to come down to take our order. We went there because of the reviews maybe a family member reviewed. Location is way out of town, it is dark inside hard to know if it is open.

The worse experience ever. It was like pulling teeth to get helped. I ordered chicken and waffles. The waffle was paper thin and my chicken and syrup was cold. Plus I received my food at least 15 min after my friend received her food. Very disappointing.

I will not return, the service was horrible, we stood there (after we told the girl working that we found this place online and came in for the high reviews) and had to ask if we just seat ourselves or if there were menus. We both ordered chicken and waffles and what a disappointment! The waffles and syrup were cold, our plates came out at least 15 minutes apart, I asked for silverware and after waiting another five minutes went down to get my own… not planning to make a return ever. Waste of time and money.

Found Jazzy's searching for some place to wait while the other half was at an appointment. Jazzy is perky, friendly, and works magic with food and beverage. There's the two tables in the front window (whew we sat), and more seating upstairs above a conference room.Definitely coming back.Parking: Parking is right in front.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice level entrance and wide doors.
